Should the line be faint?

Just a note to add in regards to my post on my BFN this morning: The result was very faint, not dark at all but you could still make out the line that said NEGATIVE! Darn it! Just curious if that was normal...I guess I'm just looking for someone to say no it was not normal and to disregard the test! LOL! If AF still does not show and temps stay up I will try and wait to test again on the 5th, that is when FF says I should test! Maybe I should've listened to them in the first place! Maybe this is just a cruel April Fool's joke since I tested today! Yeah right! I still have one more CBE test, it WILL give me a POSITIVE the next time I take it too!

Hang in there Sheree! I have no idea about that test- it actualy says "negative"? What kind is it? Your temps are looking just GREAT, and so long as AF doesn't show, you're good! Remember we had a BFP last week tested at 15DPO after she tested BFN at 12dpo AND 14dpo!! There is still hope, and I'll be sending you all my most positive thoughts.

Ok, let me see if I got this right - your control line was very light? If that's so, I think the test may have been defective, or very border line. With all the CBEs I've used, even when I got a BFN, the control line was pretty dark. I hope this helps, and I hope the test is wrong. My best to you. Wishing for a BFP real soon.

Yes, the result line was light but the control line was dark. I hope you are right and it was defective. All I can do is wait and see what happens. FYI: I am probably going to be on the Voy board more often. I like it a lot better and you get more responses to your questions there! Hope to see you over there again. I saw you already posted too! Take care!

Ok, now I'm lost Sheree - the result line was light. Um, if I'm not mistaken with CBE if there is a line in the result window that's a positive. Two lines is positive and one line is neg. So, if your control line was dark and your result line was light, then that means you have two lines? If so, I think you got that IBP (Itsy Bitsy Positive) you were looking for.

Direct from CBE instructions. . . "Any line in the middle of the large window is a positive result and indicates that the patient may be pregnant. The absence of a line in the large window means NOT PREGNANT. Note that the test results are valid as long as there is a line in the small window."

Ok, Sheree, if I am NOW reading things correctly, you had 2 lines (one faint and the dark control). If that's so - CONGRATS!!!!

Okay, the test I have on the box shows a large window and a small window. The small one is the control line which must be visible for the test to work, then it says that if the large window shows a - it is neg and if it shows + it is pos. The instructions also said that the + can be faint. My test line was faint but you could still see a - result. It is not like the FRE where there is one line for neg and two lines for pos.HTH! I don't know!

Sheree, did you use Clear Blue Easy? I've never seen it like that before. I've only seen a vertical line in the test window for positive on the CBE.
