Hi Sisters!

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was busy-I went to a wedding on Saturday, and then spent most of Sunday at the nursing home because my grandfather is dying. I hope everyone had a better time than me.

Is anyone testing this week? I'm supposed to wait until Thursday, but I doubt I'll make it. My chart looks pretty good, but I just don't have a great feeling about this cycle. I guess I'll have to wait and see. I have to go, but I'll check back in later!

Morning!

Sorry I'm so late here.. been busy at work and am feeling a bit productive today hehe. AF showed up for me on Saturday so I'm on to cycle 6. My weekend was pretty good. Sugarcane Festival was this past weekend and I had a few drinks since AF was here. Went to a few parades (including a boat parade) and danced in the streets at the Fais do do.

Jen, so sorry to hear about your grandfather :( I hope things turn around for him but if not, I hope he lived a wonderful life. Your chart does look good.. I'm keeping you in my thoughts! I can't help you on not testing.. the only way I don't test early is because I've never bought an HPT test before so none in the house. hehe

Heather, I peeked at your chart. I'm really surprised you had the visitor today.. ((hugs)) Chin up, it will happen when its supposed to :)

How's everyone else? Paulette, we want an update from you!

Hi ladies!

I've been lurking and not posting, sorry.

I did get my second hcg test back from the doc, she said it "almost" doubled. I asked if she was concerned and she said no. We have an ultrasound at the end of Oct.

So that's good news, right? But I still feel very nervous. I have no reason to think anything will go wrong. But...

I think my doc felt that because I came in so early, before AF was overdue, that she was cautious about the situation.

And I want to run through the streets telling everyone the good news..but I can't. She said the most m/c's happen within the first two weeks, so now I'm a little scared about that. Plus, sometimes I don't have any symptoms, so I'm nervous about that.

I know how much each of you want to have a baby, and how it can be a struggle, so for me to come here being a worry-wart about the happy event just... well I don't want to be that way.

I pray for each of you every morning. And I truly appreciate that you want to know what's going on with me.

Thank you.

Paulette

Hi guys!! Hope everyone had a fun weekend! My weekend was pretty busy, DH was in Indianapolis for the Formula One race and just got home last night, which left me with the kiddos to tend to all by myself. I managed to get in a couple runs which was pretty theraputic for both my mind and body. I also started this new "diet" I guess you could call it "The South Beach Diet" which actually makes alot of sense. I just got finished reading the book and went through the house and dumped all my "processed carb junk." I'll let you guys know how I end up doing. I'm such a carb junkie, so these next two weeks are going to be pretty enlightening. You're supposed to drop 8-13 lbs in the two weeks and then the diet eases up into a 2nd more lenient phase.

Well as you guys probably already know, the hag found her way to my house late last night despite all the begging and pleading for her to stay away. I knew she was coming as I had a temp drop yesterday morning(not huge, but noticable) and then another BIG drop (1 full degree) last night. On to C3........I'm not complaining (well, maybe alittle)!

Jen- So sorry to hear about your grandfather. I'll be thinking about you. Let us know if there's anything we can do for you. I'm also sending tons of (((((stay away from teh HPT's))))) vibes. I know how hard that can be. I've made a solemn promise to myself to not even go near any until I'm at least 15DPO. I'm tired of the disappointment.

Kathy- Thanks for taking a peek at my chart, it means alot to know people are thinking about me. I'm doing okay....to be honest, I'm always relieved to see the old hag because I hate the "not knowing" more then her visit itself. I have a good feeling about this month. FF says that if I conceive this month, that my due date would be the 4th of July!! How fun! :o)

Paulette- Please don't feel that you're being a worrywart! Trust me, after 3 kids already, I've done my fair share!! In fact, you wouldn't be normal if you didn't worry. You're a Mom now! :o) Also, I didn't have any early pregnancy symptoms with Daniel. The only thing I can vaguely remember is having an acute sense of smell...other then that, the pregnancy was kind to me. :o)

Anne- Glad you'e feeling better dear. It always sucks when you're sick. I'm also glad to hear that your stress level has significantly been lowered since quitting your job. Boy, your load has been lightened...... Keep a positive outlook for this month, maybe you won't have to put TTC on the backburner after all. :o)

Take Care Everyone!

Hey Anne! Nice to hear that you've had good look with the low carb way of eating. I'm actually not going low-carb, but rather just changing the carbs that I've been eating. I know that all the carbs that I'm used to eating are just all the crap carbs...you know, the high-processed, full of sugar carbs. I'm desperately trying to find all the "allowed carbs" I can have during Phase One, because I'm really dragging right now. My run was absolutely TERRIBLE today and I think it's because my muscles weren't chocked full of carbs like they normally are. I did find that I didn't have any headaches yesterday and stayed relatively full throughout the day, which was nice.

Thanks for the positive vibes.....I really need them, both with the diet and the TTC!

Hugs,

Heather

Hi Heather,

I know what you mean about the "bad" carbs versus "good" carbs...I get carbs everyday (more than my husband who is a strict Atkin's follower)...but not as much as I used to and not the sugary/white flour ones.

I don't really remember what all is allowed in phase 1 of South Beach since I did not do that diet, only read it... but I can tell you some of the things I survive on now!
