Hi there....I'm no expert by any means, but this is what I think after reading this post:

1) You do not have a short luteal phase. If you generally ovulate on day 19 or 20 and your cycles are usually 32 days, you have a 12 or 13 day luteal phase, which is totally normal. I think I've read that a luteal phase that is less than 10 days is cause for some concern, and even then there are ways to fix that. Your luteal phase is normal.

2) If you are on day 43 of your cycle with no +HPT and no period, chances are you did NOT ovulate on day 19 or 20 during this cycle. You could have either not ovulated at all, or ovulated later than you thought you did. Without a chart its impossible to know what happened, but I am pretty confident that if you are on day 43, you're NOT pregnant and you have NOT gotten your period, you then did NOT ovulate on day 19 or 20. If you ovulated late, you will get your period late. It's also possible you didn't ovulate this cycle. For this to happen is also normal. It's unusual for you, but at some point most women will experience a long or anovulatory cycle.

3) If you are having regular sex, it is possible that you are pregnant IF you ovulated later than usual, and its still early. It's so hard to know when to test when you don't know when you ovulated.

4) Stress cannot delay a period, but it can delay ovulation, which will affect when you get your period. If you're stressed out, it is very possible that you didn't ovulate this cycle, or ovulated late.

5) If you don't get your period or a +HPT within another few days, I'd go to the doc for some blood work. They should be able to tell you if you ovulated at all, at the very least.

Hope at least some of that was helpful!!

Cycle 1 - BFN. Was told I have polycystic ovaries. The fertility obession begins. Day 3 Blood Work - Appears to be normal, with slightly high prolactin. Must re-do next cycle.
Cycle 2 - DH's s/a came back normal. BFN - AF arrived early.
Cycle 3 - Day 3 Blood Work re-do is normal. Could not do HSG...long story. Have an appt. with the local fertility genius in mid-May. O'ed early, no chance for a BFP this cycle, which was my first 28 day cycle in YEARS!
Cycle 4 - Day 3 b/w is normal yet again. Back to my regular cycle length. Using CBEFM and OPKs, not temping. Learned that I DO NOT have PCOS, but do have an obstructed cervix. Surgery to correct in early July.
