Sore breasts - sign i'm not pregnant?

So I know that breast soreness can indicate pregnancy. But, if I'm having it 6 dpo, wouldn't that be too early to indicate pregnancy and more likely indicate I'm getting AF, so that it's rather proof that I'm not pregnant? In other words, this happens every month pre-AF so if I were pregnant I would think that it would not happen.

I had slight bleeding 5 dpo which I thought could be implantation, but that would also mean that my body should know it is not getting a period, right?

Yes I'm over-analyzing but did iui first time this month and am anxious. Comments appreciated.

I think that hormones are hormones and while predictable, they can also be unpredictable. (How's that for confusing?!) I think most of us over-analyze everything in our bodies when it comes to ttc, but sometimes we don't have any sings that we're pg. I have seen some bfps where no signs were apparent at all...no sore bbs, no nausea, no spotting even. While implantation typically occurs 7-10dpo, your spotting could still be implantation. Are you sure you O'd when you did? There's always the possibility you're further in your cycle, depending if you're charting/temping.

I'm not sure if any of this is helping, but long story short: unusual signs/symptoms are not necessary for a bfp.

Thanks. Yes, I guess if some people still get AF and are pregnant I could be getting other signs ... pretty sure about ovulation date as I test.

Sigh. Just have to wait until my scheduled blood test next Wednesday ...

lilmcd - i'm ttc #1 but i read someone else say they didn't have BBT (good abbreviation, that) when they turned up pregnant. so i will hope for us both but for myself i'm a little bummed ... who knows, perhaps we can both debunk my amateur theory!

brodysmomma01 - i think that sounds pretty good, i hope you get positive news!

Thank you as well for the info. I'm 9 dpo today and still sore! Perhaps I'll test tomorrow.
