Good Morning!

Just getting us started.

No real news today...woke up still feeling blah... I'm 7dpo today, and my temp went down some. I'm probably PMSing...Just what I DON'T want!

The good news for anyone who caught my "pity party" post last night and knows about Mattie's infection... he is feeling better this morning. Yesterday was really pretty awful for him...he was so drugged we had to carry him up and down the stairs...and he is not whining and doing those high-pitched barks of pain. Boy...if a sick puppy gets to me this much, imagine how it will be when it is our baby!

I'm really hoping I get into a better mood today...Sorry I'm not too inspiring or uplifting...

Talk to you guys soon,

Anne

Sending (((((COOL CALIFORNIA VIBES)))))) to ya in Texas Anne. My best friend lives in Katy, Texas and she's always complaining about the heat and humidity there....poor thing, I feel for you guys. At least here in Ca, the humidity isn't usually too bad (notice I said usually).

OUCH! Poor little guy! I hope your doggie feels better. I can see why he's sensitive.....that must be terrible having everyone fuss around with you when you're sore.

About the OPK for an HPT, the jury is still out with that with me. I've really read alot of mixed stories. Works for some women, not for others. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the results. It's way too early for a BFP anyways. I've read that the "average" implantation time is around 8-9 DPO and then it takes at least a couple days for enough HCG to circulate in your body. In the past, I would always test with EPT which is sensitive to about 40 HCG and would get a VERY FAINT BFP the day AFTER my period was due.

Anyways, I'm rambling..........have a great day.

Well, I called the doc's office about the visual disturbance thing and the nurse there told me that I need to stop clomid. I've already taken all the pills for this cycle, so it's not a big deal. I was heading the RE if this cycle didn't work anyway. I still have hope for this cycle, though. I just got home from my 1st acupuncture session with my boss (a chiropractor) and it was pretty cool. I've been working there for about a year and have seen about 4-5 women come in for infertility treatments-and all of them have gotten pregnant! The last on had been TTC for 5 years and got pregnant on the 1st cycle of acupuncture! Pretty encouraging.

Anne-no, I've never woken up with night sweats, but I've definitely heard of it happening to women on clomid-sorry it happened to you, though.

Heather-I'm from St. Charles, MO (just across the MO river from St. Louis county) and have lived in this area all my life. The weather here's great today, by the way-mid 80's sunny, and finally not too humid.

Lisa-I'm so glad to hear you're doing better. We'll be praying that your DH will get this job!

I'm off to eat a late lunch, so I'll talk to you girls soon!

Jen...

You know...you reminded me...we have not had any "trivia" questions lately for getting to know each other.

Okay...so here is one:

When did you first realize you truly loved your DH/SO...where were you and what were you doing...

For me...Before we were married, DH and I lived on opposite ends of the metroplex...he was living in Plano (North Dallas area) and I was in Fort Worth...so we were about an hour apart. We would have a date every Wednesday night, and then we spent the weekends together. I knew I really liked him a lot and looked forward to spending time with him...and at the same time had been reluctant to get too serious about him as I was just coming out of a 5-year relationship. Well, we'd been seeing each other for just a couple of months. I had driven into Dallas on a Wednesday night to have dinner with him at the Studio Movie Grill...(a really cool theater where you sit in arm chairs at little round tables and they bring you dinner while you watch the movie) There was nothing playing that we really wanted to see, so we went to the Planet of the Apes! Hated the movie...but really didn't care. Was more interested in cuddling with him...After the movie, we talked outside for the longest time, and hugged and kissed...and generally had trouble saying bye... As we got in our cars to leave, I saw him turn the opposite way from me and suddenly felt this huge tug at my heart that I was SUPPOSED to be with him, not going back to my apartment alone. I'd never really experienced anything like it before, and it is hard to describe, but I just knew that he was going to be my husband. He proposed a couple of weeks later...and we married a few months after that! :)

(((HUGS)))JEN!

I'm praying that this is your month and it does not even matter that you have to stop the Clomid!!! The acupuncture idea sounds interesting...I'll have to check into that.

Anne-that's such a great story! Mine's not quite that romantic, but here goes...DH and I started dating at age 16 (we're 25 now). The moment I knew I was in love with him was when we were in the car with some friends going out to rent a movie. DH and I were in the back seat of the car-me laying with my head in his lap. I just knew that we'd be together forever-and I was only 16! Seems like so long ago. So, it's not very exciting, but that's when I knew. Let's hear some more stories ladies!

Jen

ps-Anne thanks for the prayers! I'll be doing the same for you-as well as the other SOS!
