SOS-"Sisters of Support" Check in 9/11

Our thoughts and prayers today are focused on those that have been so deeply effected by the events of 9/11. All of the lives that were so tragically taken from loved ones. But, our lives go on, and we must move forward and be grateful for each and every day we have.

Our Devotional for today: Today is Special

Source: 15 Minute Devotions for Couples

Scripture Reading: Psalm 89:15-18

Key Verse: "Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord."

Today is not just an ordinary day. It's one like no other day we have ever lived. " This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalm 118:24). No matter if it's raining, snowing, blowing, or boiling, we need to rejoice and be glad in this day. Let's do something special: Make a new meal or clothes item, stroll through the park, fly a kite with the children, paint the bathroom, clean out a closet.

Today is not an ordinary day. Today God has opened new opportunities, the past is history, and the future won't be until tomorrow. Today is all we can live. So let's celebrate. Let's read a poem, write a poem, write a song, or sing a song of praise. God delights in showering us with His very special blessings. "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows " (James 1:17).

Today is a special day because we realize that God freely offers us His best gifts to enjoy. In John 10:10 Jesus states, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." He wants us to have a full and abundant life. He has spread a banquet for us.

Since this is a special day, let's thank God for this free gift of life. Let's praise Him for who He is. Let's trust Him for the days to come. This abundant life fills the God-void in our lives, and it also provides us with power to overcome the problems of life. So step out in faith and give Jesus all your cares!

Prayer:

Father God, let us rejoice in this day that You have given us. We want to count our blessings. Let us look at today as a gift from You. We want to be good stewards of Your time. No matter what comes into our lives today, we know You have screened it so that we are capable of handling it. We want to rejoice and be glad in this day. Amen.

Have fun on your trip Sharyn, and I hope to see that you've gotten your BFP when you get back. How's everyone doing today? I'm a little nervous because I have my first statistics test in about an hour. I had a temp drop this morning, which I'm not sure if it was an ovulatory temp dip or just the effects of the clomid wearing off. My fertility monitor didn't show a peak yet, and I'm only cd12, so who knows. Lisa-I'm sooo glad to hear about your DH's job! Congratulations! Anne, my eyes have been fine since that one weird day, so guess it was just a one time thing. How's your dog doing? Well, I need to go study a little more so I'll check in with you all later.

Good morning everyone!

Thank you for today's devotional Lisa!

When does your DH begin his new job? I just can't tell you how excited I was to hear he found something! Oh...and your BDing looks GREAT! Has O fairy come yet?

I'm doing okay. I'm still having some pretty major mood swings up and down...but I'm just reminding myself that it is the Clomid and that I CAN deal with it! :) I'm 9dpo today...AF is probably due on Saturday or Sunday, and I'm going to test in the morning. I'm sure it will be a BFN, as it is early still. But I know I won't be able to wait. I SO want to get that BFP! Especially because I really don't want to have to do any more rounds with Clomid! I'm waiting to hear from the doctor about my progesterone level this cycle...praying that it will be a good high number! My temp is still up today...I'm really interested in tomorrows temp, though. I had a drop on 10dpo and get AF on 11dpo on my Non-Progesterone cycle before...so I'm hoping my temp is still UP tomorrow!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY HEATHER!!! Give your DH a BIG kiss and enjoy this day! I hope you are feeling a little better today. I'm saying an extra prayer for you... :)

Sharyn, have fun on your trip!

Jen--- Oh ick! I HATED statistics!!! I had to take a couple of stats courses in graduate school, and they were hard for me. I'm not a "numbers" person... Good luck on your test!

Well...off to work for me...I'll be checking in off and on as usual!

Anne

Hey Anne,

Yes, I was very happy that DH finally found something. It is not his dream job by any means, but it is a job. He's happy but also a little bummed about it cause he feels like he's taking a step backwards. He will be the Manager of a Check Cashing store, and he accepted less money than his other job just to get some $ flowing again. I told him at least it will buy him some time and he can still look for something else. He's been looking into trying to get his degree online, ( wants to pursue marketing ), so he's got a lot on his plate right now. He started his new job today.

I am excited about our BD Fest and the timing. I think it looks pretty good. I'm not sure about "O" Fairy. My temp went up this moring .4, so I'm thinking I may have "O"d yesterday ( last night ) or early, early this morning. I've been having some little twinges on the right side when I got up, but nothing like my usual "O" pains. Usually they are very distinct. Maybe I slept through them, who knows. We took a break last night from the BD Fest, I was just so frustrated from my day at work yesterday, that I just wanted to go to bed and DH did too having to get up early for his 1st day . But, we may continue tonight. We're gonna try to keep up with the BD Fest til I know for sure that the "O" Fairy has visited. DH has been so determined this cycle, it's like he's "on a mission" and he's done it all on his own, no "V", so I know that's been a huge boost for him. He tells me he's making up for lost time. I just hope this doesn't change now that he's going back to work. I've REALLY enjoyed it !!!!!

I have felt so bad for you and the side effects that the Clomid has caused for you, but hopefully they will subside soon, and you can get your BFP, and all you'll have to experience is RPS. Please let us know how your Prog. results come out. I hope they're good. My thoughts and prayers are continually with you. I talk about you all the time to DH, I start out something like this, "Well, Anne said or Anne is going through, you know, the lady from Texas that has the same B-day as mine" , he pretty much knows who I mean when I say Anne now. Anyway, your chart is looking great!!!! I'm anxious to see both of our temps for tomorrow. GL Anne!!! Keep + thoughts!!!!

Anne-your chart is looking great! I'll be sending you lots of heat and bfp vibes! I sooo hope you get your bfp this time around. I can't wait until tomorrow to see what my temp does and to see if I get a peak reading on the fertility monitor, but I have a feeling this low temp today was just a fluke. My stats test was ok-not too bad, but whenever I think I did good, I usually don't (in math classes anyway). Oh well-I'll find out next week. Heather-Happy Anniversary!-do you and your DH have anything special planned?

Hey Girls!

I feel like I've been gone for a really long time even though its only been 4! I didn't have as much time as I thought I would and when I could go online, the connection at my hotel was too slow to load the board. I haven't had a chance to go back and read up on what I missed but wanted to say Congrats to Lisa for her DH's new job. Even though its not his ideal position, you never know what may come from it. And to Anne, lots of ~~~++++++ vibes ~~~ coming your way. Sorry to read that you have had some side effects from the Clomid. Hopefully this will be the only cycle you need to take it.

Well, travelling really does mess with your temps! I had one day at 97.9 and the next at 96.8... really strange but I can tell I'm gearing up for O. Travelling didn't stop the EWCM today :))) The trip was a success as well :)

Ok, I've got to pay some attention to DH and my kitties and dog. They're all over me hehe I look forward to catching up with all of you!

Blessings,

Kathy

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for asking about Mattie...He is doing MUCH better! He looks pretty rough, but his hair will grow back. The infection along his nose is healing up nicely...as is his eye infection. I don't think I mentioned it, but he also has an ear infection now...and so we are having to put drops in his ear now, too! He HATES that! Boy...he is high maintenance...but we love the little guy!
