I thought I would get this thread started early for us. I don't have a devotional or prayer to offer but maybe someone else will be along with that for us
My temp went up this morning so I should have my coverline over the next few days YAY!! I made sure DH and I had our bd opportunities covered this month.... although he did request if I ever talk to Magic MIL again to please ask for an alternative time other than early AM.
Anybody in this thread getting affected by Isabel where we might not hear from you for a couple of days? Let us know so we don't send out the troops for ya :)
Fun question of the day... Whats the one thing you'll have to give up when pregnant that you are really going to miss? Mine would have to be coffee.. I'm weaning myself now onto decaf but I so want to keep drinking my 3 cups of caffenated coffee a day.

We also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance. —Romans 5:3
A young Christian went to an older believer and asked, "Will you pray that I may be more patient?" So they knelt together and the man began to pray, "Lord, send this young man tribulation in the morning; send him tribulation in the afternoon; send him—" Just then the young believer blurted out, "No, not tribulation! I asked for patience." "I know," said the wise Christian, "but it's through tribulation that we learn patience."
The word perseverance in today's Scripture can mean the ability to remain steadfast under difficulties without giving in. John A. Witmer wrote, "Only a believer who has faced distress can develop steadfastness. That in turn develops character."
When the apostle Paul told the Christians in Rome that "tribulation produces perseverance" (Romans 5:3), he was speaking from personal experience. He had suffered beatings, whippings, stoning, shipwreck, and persecution. Yet he remained steadfast in his faith and did not shrink from his responsibility to preach the gospel.
If you are facing a difficult test, praise God! Under His wise control, everything that happens to us—whether pleasurable or painful—is designed to develop Christlike character. That's why we can glory in tribulation. —Richard De Haan
Hi Sisters!! Well I should be in a foul mood because AF has shown up. CD38 and 20dpo!!
I will say though that I am okay w/this because it was my 1st month charting and I am glad I know I O and I only had a 38day cycle not 44. I also think I may have O'd 2-3 days later than ff said.
All that being said, It would have been nice to be prego.
Kathy- I have to say Coffee is my vice too. Although my last pregnancy it made me sick to even smell it.
Well everyone have a great day!

We're gonna talk a little bit about families today. I think this is mainly aimed at our true family members, but I believe a lot of us consider the "family" to include many groups of people---- very close friends/confidants, support groups, a church "family" etc. For example, I have a best friend that I share just about everything with. We talk several times a week and we're definitely closer than many of my actual family members. And with everyone here, you are my TTC support family. I share things with all of you that I would never share anywhere else. So, I think "family" can be many different groups of people that we care deeply about.
This is a little short story or maybe even a poem ,if you will, that I found in the book "15 Minute Devotions for Couples". It was written by John F. Westfall.
"We belong in Families"
No matter how difficult life becomes, we belong in families. There may be times when we let down those we love and fail people who care the most, but through it all we discover a group of people who make us feel that we belong, who say, "What happens to you matters to me." Thus we stand together and face all of life with a confidence born of a sure identity in the family...
In spite of the pain, frustration and embarrassment, the unavoidable world of life in the family is still God's gift. The caring, nurture and confidence that comes from being seen at our worst and still knowing that we belong is His gift to us. It is a place where we can... love one another over the long haul. It is a place where we see His power and grace demonstrated over and over again.
My Prayer for all of us....
Father God, I thank you today for my family and friends, and for their unconditional love. I also thank you for my "Sisters". They are always here to lend a helping hand and to make me feel a part of such a loving group. They have "seen" me at my worst, when I was down and out and almost lost, but through Your love and grace and their loving support, I'm ready to tackle life's challenges for the long haul. May Your will be done in all of our lives because we trust that You do have a plan for each and every one of us. Help us to accept this plan with Your loving grace, as we are all "Family" in Christ's love. Amen.
I hope you enjoyed our devotional for today. The poem came from the book, the rest is from me and I just want to thank each one of you for your loving support !

What a beautiful prayer and it means so much more that it came from your heart and not a book (we won't expect that everyday!) I've realized over the last couple of days that this group is important not only to me but to the rest of you so I will do my best to check in earlier in the day and start the thread if its not been started already. Even with no news, I think just knowing that someone out there cares enough about me or any of us to post and ask how we're doing that day means so much. Thank you girls for being there everyday for me.
((((hugs))))
Kathy
Well...AF has left the building!!! She was a most annoying houseguest this time...so I was especially happy to see her go. Okay...now on to the BD Fest!! :)
Kathy, thanks for getting us started today! That is great you had a temp spike! I'm sending you ***HEAT*** vibes...
I think giving up my Diet RC in the morning will be hardest for me. I used to be totally addicted to Diet Coke...drank it ALL day long! But in January I gave up Diet Coke (because of the aspartame) and switched to Diet RC which uses Splenda...but I only let myself have 1 glass a day at breakfast while TTC...and will have to give it up completely when PG. THAT will be hard for me! But worth it! :)
My "consolation prize" each cycle when I get AF has been an extra BIG glass of Diet RC in the afternoon! Oh...and pizza. Yep...I know...bad to use food to soothe my disappointment...but it feels good!
Sharyn, I'm sorry about AF coming, but I'm glad that you had a shorter cycle this time. Those long cycles are killers! Hope AF is kind to you... and thanks for the devotional. That definitely spoke to my heart...Patience and Perseverance...Two traits I need to work on.
Lisa! Thank you for your devotional...reminding us of the importance of those we love and to be thankful. I'm thankful to have met you...and all of the Sisters of Support!
Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh...and just a quick note...lately I've pretty much been reading only the SOS post, and a few that might catch my eye in the QA section. I know...that is bad...but I'm working to not obsess quite so much this cycle, and so I'm limiting my time on the board for right now...I tell you guys this so that if any of you post in other places and I don't respond...it is probably because I did not see it! :)
Anne - Proud Mommy to Rachel Elizabeth!
I'm so excited today! I have EWCM, high/soft CP, and some O pains!!! I'm on CD18 and was starting to lose hope about O'ing, but I think it will happen within the next few days. Kathy-Let's see, when I get pregnant, I will miss being able to eat as much chocolate as I want (caffeine). I'm not a big coffee/soda drinker, so that won't be a problem, but I'm a huge chocoholic. Anne-glad to see that AF is gone! I really hope this next CC works for you. I hope everyone else is doing great today! Please send me mega O vibes!

I am feeling well this morning. I think I am..oh I dont know! Maybe a week po. I am so confused. I should get AF from the 21-25, so I dont know what that makes me. I think be bded enough though anyway.
I woke up this morning with sore niples. DH brused up agains them and I was like YOWSERS! It hurt. They stuck out reaaly far too, which was weird. I am NOT going to think about it though because we all know how much trouble that can get me in.
I think I am going to test with FMU an Sunday. I know its probably too early, but I am supposed to go to SDC and I want to know whether to ride rides. We are going with friends, and they know we are ttc but they dont understand why I wouldnt want to ride them because they dont think it would do any harm if I was preg. And it may not, I dont know. I am going to research that a little better. I just want to test on Sun JUST in case. If I test with FRE then I should be ok because that would be 4 days before AF if I have a 28 day cycle. 28 is the longest it ever is. What do you think? OPINIONS PLEASE!
Anyway, gotta work! Have a great day!
Oh, mine will be caffene too. I didnt know diet RC has splenda. I am going to have to get that!

Married to highschool sweetheart since 8-12-02
On to 4DPO for me (actually I think I'm 3DPO, but both Ovusoft and FF say 4DPO, so I'm going with that). Temps are nice and high, that's always a good sign (I think). No symptoms as of yet, but it is rather early for that still.
OMG, I hope there's no one that is unfortunate enough to be in Isabel's path. If so, PLEASE be safe and careful! I'll be thinking of you all.
As for me, I'd have to go along with Kathy and say COFFEE!! I'm a major caffeine addict, so even giving up the Diet Coke will be a struggle for me.
Hey, OT but if you haven't had a chance to check out the pics I posted last night of the Buddy Walk, please do! We had a great opportunity to meet the cast of Scrubs and got some good pics!

I looked at your photos and you are sooo pretty! Your little boy is just precious! I know its hard work as a Mom to someone with disabilities but you must be one special Mom for him to have picked you! You are truly blessed :)
Kathy
PS.. anyone else find it strange that I got excited about Jen's EWCM? LOL I was sitting here excited for her and it hit me that aside from this group, I'll probably never be able to tell someone how happy I am that they have ewcm and cheer her on to BD!!! hehe

What state was the walk in? Do they do the walk in all states? Just being curious.
Sharyn
This may be a little long cause I'm posting to everyone in one post and giving my update, well, maybe I might split it and give my update in a separate post, not sure yet, anyway........
Kathy--- Thanks for getting us started this morning and I'm so glad that the "O" and BD Fest is coming along nicely. Surely FF will give you your coverline and "O" date within a day or 2. I hope this is our month.
Sharyn---- Thanks so much for the wonderful devotional this morning. I think we were typing at the same time. I'm so sorry the old hag found you but hopefully her stay will be short and not too bothersome.
Anne--- I'm so glad AF has left the building finally. You've started your new higher dose of clomid by now, right? How's that doing for you? Any major side effects yet? I hope you don't have many cause I know you felt pretty crappy last cycle.
Jen---- Yay for EWCM !!!!! and hopefully the "O" and the BDing progressed smoothly and you will catch that little eggie this cycle. I hope so !!!
Oli---- Sounds like we may be close together in our cycle, I'm 7DPO right now getting ready to move on down to the 1ww today. I can sympathize with the sore BB's. I hope that Sunday is not too soon for you to test, however, I'm sure you know it could be. GL and I hope you get that BFP soon. Keep us posted.
Heather---- Sounds like you're entering the 2ww too, hope the wait won't be too bad. I did look at some of your pics and that walk sounds like a wonderful thing. I'm glad yall had a good time.
Paulette---- You know , sometimes FF is wrong. You said that FF said you "O" on CD11. You also said you got 5 + OPK's . I've never heard of anyone getting that many in a cycle. Was it over a 5 day period or did you take more than one in a days time? Just asking. Was the test line as dark as or darker than the control line all 5 times? Just making sure that you do know that that is the only time an OPK is + . Let us know. Be careful on your trip out of town. Where are you going? Check in when you get back.
GL to everyone here and I'm sending everyone some ((((Patience~~~~~ and BFP vibes))
Please send me some ((Heat, Patience, BFP vibes~~~~~ ))) too !!!
