Has anyone taken soy isoflavones and would they recommend it? I've heard its a more natural route than Clomid, as far as helping to regulate/speed up O'ing. Is this true? Does it really work?

Thanks!

There is a forum board called soul cysters which is women with pcos and it has gotten some pretty good reviews there, women stating that they don't O without either clomid or soy isoflavnoes.

So, would it be something it would be okay to take without consulting a doctor first? Or, like clomid, should one be monitored. ?I am all about the natural approach and this totally interests me, but of course, I don't want to do somehing to screw up anything. Is soy isoflavones one of those things, like clomid, that should only be taken for a limited time? Heck, if it's safe, I'll take it right away and forget the clomid. Right now I'm experiencing the longest cycle ever! If anyone knows if it's safe to take on own let me know. It must be, if it's available w/out a prescription right?

I'm assuming it's safe, since its shelved with other vitamins. I do know, you shouldnt take it the whole length of you cycle. I think thats because a lot of soy isnt good for fertility. But everything I've read says that if you take it about 5 days of
