I was thinking about adding this to myc cycle and see if it helps any... I heard it can help with late ovulaters by ovulating sooner... does anyone here know when to start taking it during your cycle and if you nee to stop taking it at a certain point like EPO? How much do you take? Please any info would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

I really don't know much about soy lecithin for the aid of Oing earlier, I read that it can help regulate cycles because it can help regulate hormones but I could not find anything about when to or if to stop taking it. I started taking soy isoflavones which has been talked about helping women O like clomid does and you would take it like clomid for 5 day during the start of your period. Good luck with taking the soy !

Hi Cindy,

I was curious about your question, so I did some online research and here's what I could find.

Soy lecithin should be taken throughout your cycle in granular form (apparently the capsules are not as effective). I am not clear as to how much, most mention taking 1 Tbs every morning, but I found one woman taking as much as 4 Tbs. Some mention that it tastes bad. There is quite a bit of information on the Soul Cysters forum.

It is supposed to help to regulate your hormones levels, especially in women who tend to skip cycles. I am not certain if it will shorten long cycles, but it might. Soy lecithin is derived from the plant's oil which is why you see it as an emulsifier in many manufactured foods. From what I have read it does not contain the phytoestrogens (which are somewhat controversial) that the rest of the soy plant contains.

I would recommend buying a high quality product from a health food store if you decide to try it. HTH:)
