Soy protein powder while TTC?

Would moderate amounts of soy protein powder be bad while TTC?

I can't answer your question, but I wonder that as well. For the past year I've been trying to watch my weight while also TTC, and I heard something about soy protein powder, so I stopped having my morning protein shakes a couple of months ago. I know there's true whey protein shakes that are supposed to be fine, but the soy protein powder i got was so much cheaper... so I'm not sure what to do now... I would like to go back to having a protein shake for breakfast, but i cannot break the bank....

I have not really done any research as to why Soy would be BAD for you while TTC,

I am not a nutritionist or an expert...but I think soy mimics estrogen. I had also thought about that since I add it to my occassional smoothie. I don't get enough protein, so am looking for places to get more everywhere I can. I instead added whey protein.

I've been trying to find out more about this too. DH is a vegetarian, so I cook with soy a lot. I saw my PCP last week, and he said I was probably eating too much soy (3 or 4 meals a week) because of the estrogen.
I'm going to ask my ob/gyn when I see her in 2 weeks. I'll post with her answer.

I drink the regular whey protein shakes and did all through my pregnancy but I don't know about soy...sorry can't really answer...if I were you, I'd just get whey protein...much better IMO ;)
