Just got a call from a friend, and old-coworker. Her water broke this morning, they are headed to the hospital. I am very excited for her, as she had a few m/c before this one stuck, but, at the same time, can't help but feel sorry for myself.
Jenny - she happens to live in northern Cinci area....
I'm baaaack....well, sort of. I'm at the Jacksonville airport, waiting for my flight back to Chicago. I am beyond exhausted! The good news is that I haven't o'd yet!!! I have gobs of ewcm, and if I get my natural cycle CBEFM readings again, then I should have a peak tomorrow and Saturday. Although my bd timing won't be excellent, I feel kinda good about this cycle. I'm o-ing on time, with no cysts, etc. etc. Yay! Then I get to start my IVF cycle!
Holly- Oh, I wish I had been here for you, to walk you through the trigger! The injection doesn't really hurt while you're doing it, but it does hurt after wards. I did feel "pg" afterwards, but it went away in about 10-12 days. I also found that my pg symtpoms are less severe each time I take the shot....maybe the body gets used to it? As for the IUI, my RE said it helps in very limited situations. I get the sense that most REs aren't obverly keen with IUIs, but the thing is that you never know if you're the one it's going to work for. I think it's worth trying once or twice, but beyond that, I would probably start earmarking the $ for IVF instead. Just think: one IUI cycle is half the price of a frozen embie transfer cycle.... I really hope the IUI does the trick for you, though, and you don't have to worry about any further steps!
Amy- Yay for o! I have a good feeling that we'll see a ton of BFPs this month....
Steph- Any IPS? Any urge to POAS yet? I know you said you were waiting......may be a good strategy. It seems like those who wait tend to get BFPs. LOL!
Rish- Your DH changed his mind on the SA? That is not cool at all. Does he know how badly you want a baby? I would put up a good fight about this. Of course, as Holly pointed out, if you guys aren't wanting to pursue treatment there isn't a rush in getting it done. Maybe the vitamins are a good idea, just in case?
Helene- Welcome! I've seen you around here. I used to live in Ottawa! My name is Em, I'm ttc #4 for a zillion years now :-)
Jodie, Liz- I hope you guys are surviving under all that snow!
Marcie- What is the the issue with your CBEFM? I have one too, so maybe I can help you trouble shoot :-)
Love you guys! I have really missed the camaraderie of this board the last couple of days. I won't be on here tonight......I've got a lot of bding to make up for! LOL
Hey gals...I was forwarded this link in an e-mail, and I don't know if we're "allowed" to post these things, but this is a link to the pedigree dog food
Em: so glad you're back with us! And even more exciting that you haven't O'd yet. Woo hoo for your body listening to you... Nothing is wrong with my CBEFM, at least I don't think so. I just got it on Tuesday. I showed it to DH and he is very much in awe of the technology! I will begin using it next cycle if we don't get pg this month. Have fun making up for lost time tonight w DH!
Afm: I'm sitting at the airport wait for my flight. Stopped at the library on the way and got some books to read - including TCOYF, can't hurt to read some parts again!
Welcome back, Em, we've missed you! I don't think I can make DH any more aware of how much I want a kid, I've cried, sobbed, pleaded, ranted, confided, etc. etc. for about 3 years. Anyway.
