Amy - don't count yourself out yet. Who knows how Clomid is affecting your temps/cycle. At least give it some more time before completing dismissing this month! Stranger things have happened... you never know!

Jodie - Don't let the BFN bum you out..... it's still early, plus, your temps look great compared to your last month's chart! It might just be too early!

AF normally would start this evening through brown discharge, leading to full-on HEAVY AF by tomorrow morning when I wake up. Right now, i'm feeling 50/50 on my belly cramps/heartburn/gas..... it really does feel different, but i'm trying not to get my hopes up. All I keep thinking about is the BFN's i've gotten twice in the past few days!!!!

Plus, now i'm worried - if I do get a late BFP, does that mean bad things??? Dr Em - what do you think? :)

Steph-

I wouldn't be worried about bad things just because get get a late BFP- from what I've seen, it would be wonderful if we could predict things about a pregnancy from certain things like when you got a BFP. But even HCg levels are not a perfect indicator of how a pregancy will turn out. My OB told me that one of the most frustrating things about medicine is that it is not an exact science like physics- no human body behaves the same way and

Amy- I'm curious to see what my prog tomorrow is too! Anything over 15 is a good solid ovulation, though if you've taken fertility drugs, Drs. do prefer 20+. Anything under 10 usually cannot sustain a pregnancy. With my Clomid cycle, it was low (14.8), my RE was okay with it, though I was not pg. Unfortunately, the prog level can't tell if you're preggo or not. Generally, if you are pg, your levels will be higher than usual. So unless your levels are super low (meaning you can't get pg that cycle) or super high (if it was 40+, I would think you're pg....though it's not a guarantee), then it really doesn't mean much...just that you ovulated! When are you thinking of POAS this month?

Stephanie- LOL. I am NOT a Dr. I just work with them...lol... I don't think it's bad to be a late implanter. You can see FF charts that have obvious implantation dips late, and BFNs before BFPs, and those people go on to have normal, healthy pregnancies! I read somewhere that normal implantation occurs at 5-12 dpo. But there are always outliers. I bet even a lot of 13 or even 14 dpo implanters can thrive (though it wouldn't be the norm). And typically you get a BFP 1-3 days after implantation! Keep in mind that the FF average BFP is 13.6 dpo. If you get one tomorrow at 15 dpo, you are only 1.4 dpo off!

GL!

Holly-

LOL- I am a better cheerleader for others than for myself, but aren't we all? I guess I'll see where the level is tomorrow. I don't know, it just seems that many people just know this is it. I did with the ectopic and nothing this cycle. I am sorry if I led you astray last cycle, I just couldn't stand to see you upset :) and I DID find info on the web that said people were preg with a prog level of 6 on 7 dpo. I guess we'll see. Is dr doogie doing a progesterone test for you? How about an hcg level? Does he do those for his clomid patients on 12 dpo or so? I know mine does not. He relies on you taking an HPT like normal.

Em- POAS? I won't be peeing on anything unless something changes with my temps or IPS anytime soon! I plan to wait out good old Af so I don't waste an HPT on this cycle. I usually feel more than this in my regular BFN cycles- you would think on clomid I would be crazy with IPS, but no, :) I agree woth Holly- I would be shocked if you didn't O with your temp jump! There has to be some progesterone somewhere in there causing this high temps!! Has the weather settled down now that I have left the greater chicagoland area? I swear it does that just to make sure my DH will NEVER want to move back with me!!!! You should put up a shingle as an RE- I'd go to your clinic even if you didn't have an MD- LOL!!!!

It's always easier to stay positive when talking about other's charts/symptoms.

Holy- My RE paperwork says that Af will not show on its own, so you have to stop the progesterone after a negative test on 14 dpo to let it show. My darn 1950's RE llikes to kill trees and gives everyone a packet with instructiosn for EVERYTHING- IUI's progesterone, clomid, etc!!!!)
