Stress, Overweight and BFN

Good morning ladies,
I am wondering if anybody else is in the catergory of being overweight, stressed out and not being able to get the BFP that we want. I have dealt with this and have been trying to reduce stress, body fat and really wanting a baby.
Just wondering if any of you have been going through the same things. How did you lose weight? How did you deal with the stress?

Hang in there, girl! Don't be so hard on yourself. TTC is stressful! Not to mention unwanted pounds! (I gotta few of them myself.# I think the key is to try to make better food choices without depriving yourself. Strict dieting will mess up your cycle in a hurry. And we don't want that. Cut out stuff that has no nutritional value (soda, chips, crackers, candy, etc.) Add more fruits and vegetables. Get out and walk or do something active that you find enjoyable. You'll feel better about yourself and hopefully it will also lower your stress level. Also, consider getting a massage. I swear they work wonders!
I watched a tv program about people who had lost a lot of weight and the one lady was talking about how easy it is to gain weight. She said, an extra 100 calories a day will cause you to gain 10 pounds in a single year. If you continue consuming those extra 100 calories, in 10 years time, that's 100 pounds!
I think about that often and when you realize how little an extra 100 calories is, you tend to think twice about that second cookie!
Good luck to you!
I completely understand your frustration. I am overweight, have irregular cycles (not weight-related) and want my bfp! I am a natural worrier and I stress over everything.
As pp mentioned, there are 'easy' ways of losing weight such as making better choices...whether that is eating healthier or being more active. I don't know about you, but for me it's a matter of motivation. I need to work towards something, have a plan and an ultimate goal in order to get myself going. DH and I participated in a charity run earlier this year. We ran/jog/walked together most days of the week and made very good food choices. I ended up losing 12lbs! But here I am, 3 months later, with all the weight back on. Now I find myself struggling because I know that the healthier I am, the better chances for a healthy pregnancy and baby.
DH and I re-started our regimen yesterday, actually, and are keeping one another accountable by utilizing a weight loss chart I found online. Whoever loses the least % each week has to clean up the dog poop in the backyard. :o)
Have you tried yoga? I have only taken 1 class and that was a while ago, but yoga is supposed to make you feel better and it's a workout. I had a friend in college who swore by it.
Hello,
I had a problem with my weight and decided that I was going to take control of it. I started with a journal and wrote down everything I ate each day and when. I found that I would snack more in the mid morning and didn't eat much for breakfast. I found that if I ate a little more in the morning that the mid morning snacking went away.
I also added an easy workout. I found this workout DVD that has 10 minute workouts. I can work my arms and thighs to do a 20 minute workout. If you do a 20 minute workout 3 to 4 days a week you can lose up to 2 lbs a week. I am now doing 20 to 30 minutes 5 days a week and have kept the weight off. I have 4 out of the 5 DVDs in the series and love them. I find that they also help relax me.
