Tell me what I need to know about taking progesterone...

They told me to start mine a day or two after ovulation, take for 14 days and then if preggo test is positive continue taking, if negative stop & AF will come (if it hasn't already, sometimes it comes before you stop taking the supps--mine never did, but I also would stop taking the supps at 12 dpo if hpt's were negative since I've always shown pos by then). As for side effects, I don't think I experienced much, they say side effects are less if you take it vaginally as opposed to orally. I did sometimes get slight cramping right after taking it, but that's it. I didn't really get sore breasts or anything from it, but I've heard that can happen.

I was temping for awhile, but then quit & was just going by opk's. I'm doing ok...just trying not to go insane while waiting for the u/s...still about a week and a half to go. I have moments I just kinda freak out b/c I'm so scared about the u/s...and I'm just waiting for morning sickness to hit since it didn't with any m/c (I usu get really sick when pregnant, I just can't remember how early it started with my kids, so I'm trying to rack my brain about that). I'm only 6 weeks today though, so trying to stay calm...

My doc said start at 2 dpo and continue for 10 days. How long did your doc say take it? At first, she told me CD 16-25 assuming I O'd CD 14. When I told her I usually O around CD 16/17, she said to just start 2 days after O, whatever CD that may be.
