Is it really necessary to take your temperature at the same time every morning? i do not sleep during the same hours every night and i wake often to take care of my babies. will it work to just take my temp after i have been asleep for at least 3 hours regardless of the time of day?

thanks

You have to take it at the same time or it will not be accurate. I usually take mine between 6:30-7. I hope that is close enough. If you are off some days I don't think it will hurt too much.

I agree with Jen. You have to take it around the same time every day, before getting out of bed, etc. I think if it's like 15-20 mins off, it's ok, but it has to be around the same exact time. If you are getting up at night several times, that can affect the accuracy.

Jennifer, I am a terrible sleeper and I seem to be up and down all night. I take my temp in the morning when I wake up for good. I can never get it as close to the same time as about 1 hr. (I wake anytime from 5:30 to 6:45). My chart is really effected by the inconsistencies, but I can still see a pattern. If you use FF they put temps that differ by more than a half hour from your regular time in as circles not dots. Good luck and remember you are trying to see the forest not the trees.
