Temping and OPK Questions?

Hi,
My name is Anne. I am new here and needing some help deciphering some contradictory charting info. My DH and I have been ttc for 4 months. This is my second cycle to chart and I am on CD14. My temp yesterday was 97.73 and I got a nearly POPK, but today my temp dropped further to 97.66 and I had a fainter test line on the OPK!?! Both were done with first morning Urine. My CM and CP are pretty much the same both days, low, closed and firmish(?), and sticky, moist. I only noticed creamier CM on CD 10 and since then it has been pretty sticky. I have only noticed EWCM in one cycle, in which I think resulted in a chemical pregnancy. I am wondering if I am going to ovulate in the next day or so as the temp drop would suggest, even though the OPK is contradicting this? I would appreciate any advice since I am pretty confused. I will still BD as scheduled, but I am trying to make sure that I am ovulating.

I think OPK indicate ovulation happening within a 12-36 hour period.

Hi Amy,
The OPK was negative this morning which makes me wonder if it is incorrect since my temp dropped? I will take another test in 4 hours and see what happens. Hopefully it will be positive. Thanks for responding.

I'm not a big fan of OPK's myself.

Thanks! That helps clear things up. This process can be pretty confusing. I appreciate your help.
