This is my first cycle of charting (and I am really enjoying having a better idea of what is going on - especially because I have quite irregular cycles).

I am not 100 percent sure on that question...I usually wake up a few times during the night...I think as long as you aren't getting up and running around then you are ok...

I've had this problem myself while temping.

Try temping both times then. In 5 days you'll have sufficient data to evaluate how your temps fluctuate, if it really changes that much, or if there's a consistent change, so you can learn how to ajust considering your own metabolism.
I sometimes awake for some reason, or my daughter calls me at night, I look at the clock and think: "Are there 3 hours left so I can record my temps later?" If there is time, I just go back to sleep. When there is no enough time, I temp twice.
I's sooo exciting to see you O date, It's worth the effort!

Good Luck
