The same thing happened to me yesterday and I posted about it. I took the second, higher temp. My thermometer has done that a few times since I started temping, and this is only my first cycle! It honestly makes me question if my temps on my chart are accurate. I have a few wacky ones.

This also might be a mistake, but I'm not temping today at all. I got no sleep, and by the time I woke up and even realized what was going on, I was already moving around and kind of more awake than usual. I know I wouldn't get an accurate temp anyway.

(just tried to post this but I don't think it went through)

Yeah, I think that I've made a few mistakes this cycle...bad temping habits, using FMU with OPKs (who knew??), etc. I am almost looking forward to next cycle so I can start over and do it right from day 1!!
