Ok, this is my first month actually ttc and my first time ever charting temps. I know that you are suppose to temp with a bbt. But I started temping like the day before I got AF and just grabbed the digital thermometer that I have here. I also know that your not suppose to change themometers during a cycle, so I continued with the one I had. Will I still get an accurate chart or is everything going to be messed up since I didn't use the one you're suppose to use. I'm starting to think that my chart doesn't do me any good because I'm not using a bbt. How much will this affect my charting. Please Help, Confused.

BBT thermometers are technically more accurate than a standard fever thermometer... however, I would bet that you'll still see some good trends and get some good information from a cycle with your regular thermometer. It probably won't be too big a deal for you just this once. Just stick it out this cycle with your fever thermometer, and switch to the BBT thermometer for the next go-around.

Good luck to you!
