Those cheap hpt's

I bought some of those 99 cent hpt's off of a website but I was wondering if anyone knows anything about their reliability??? It seems like if they were accurate nobody would spend ten times as much in the drugstore. They are a little more inconvenient because you have to pee in a cup, but other than that they are just as easy as the kind you purchase from the drustore. Does anyone know if they work?

I purchased some from cheap-pregnancy-tests.com (I believe that's the correct URL) and they all correctly gave me a BFN. No shadow line or anything. However, one was a dud, no lines came up at all on it. But all in all, I think that they are worth the $ and waiting, considering how much it adds up to test every month. I would use them again once we run out of the tests we got on sale, and if I did get a BFP, I would probably purchase a name brand just to be sure.

Thanks Sarah! It only took 3 days for them to arrive (which was good--it made me wait a few days to test) and I ordered 6 so they will last me a while. I'm hoping nobody says they don't work because you can't beat the price!!!

I hope they work!! I just bought a few from the Dollar Tree for a buck apiece (how can you beat it!?) So we will see. But are the name brands really worth the $ you pay for them? Think about it....they are getting rich off of us girls. I'm gonna use the cheapies and if it's negative, then it's negative..AF will confirm and if it's positive then I'll tell my ob/gyn and get a blood test, right?

Hello... I bought some tests from testsforless.com. They seem to measure a lower amount of HCG, so hopefully they'll really work.

You can actually go online at Ebay at get them from the same company for even cheaper...

Lots of luck to everyone, and I'll keep you posted if I get a BFP from one.

Hi Ladies,

I bought a bunch of these from earlypregnancytests.com and gave some to a friend (who is now pregnant). She tested after AF was 2 days late and got a BFN with my 'cheap' test, then got a BFP with the Target brand test. Another friend had the exact same experience, she is now 5w pregnant and never got a positive test with the cheap tests. I will try them, but since I've known women who got false negatives, I won't rely on them. Hope this helps.

That's where I bought my tests Lori.

Thanks for letting me know about your experiences with this test. It is supposed to measure a very low concentration of HCG. Well, at least I only paid $6!
