Try Ovaltine for vitamin A

I may be wrong (and someone please correct me if I am -- I don't want to mislead anyone!) but if it's the vitamin A in V-8 Splash that's good for CM, then try a glass of Ovaltine. Made according to the directions on the jar, you can get 63% of your daily recommended intake.

As I said, I don't know if it's something else in V-8 Splash that thins CM, but if it's just vitamin A, Ovaltine actually has more per serving than the V-8 drink.

And no, I don't work for Ovaltine (LOL!) but I drink it every morning for breakfast (it's got other vitamins and minerals so it feels like an okay meal supplement when I'm in a rush) and I noticed it was high in vitamin A.

Just a thought!

Thanks Kristin! I LOVE Ovaltine too, and would like an alternative to V-8 Splash sometimes. From what I've read it is mainly the Vitamin A that causes the extra EWCM. I used to take a women's multi-vitamin that has 120% daily value of vitamin A and had tons of EWCM, but that was before I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and I didn't even know what it was, just that I was using wads of toilet paper in the bathroom and had that "wet" feeling making me run to the bathroom thinking that I had started my period (truly sorry if that's too much info). My GYN just started me on a multivitamin called Precare Conceive that she wants me to take instead, but I don't think it has Vitamin A so I'll need something like Ovaltine or V-8 Splash to supplement. I've also started trying Evening Primrose Oil too. If anyone else has been prescribed the Precare Conceive I'd love to hear their experience. Thanks again Kristin!

Erm... forgive me if I'm wrong but... If the Vitamin A is all that matters, wouldn't it be easier just to buy Vitamin A tablets?

You're welcome rzberrysun! I know, I love Ovaltine too. I've had it for breakfast (usually just on weekdays) for years. It's a good way to get calcium too. Plus it reminds me of being a kid and who doesn't like that cozy feeling!

Marcia, as far as I know it's always better to get your vitamins through food. It's my understanding that your body absorbs "natural" vitamins better than it does supplements. Supplements are really just a precaution in case you don't get enough in your diet. If you can do it by eating or drinking the right kinds of foods that's always preferable.

Anyway, happy Ovaltine drinking!
