I took birth control for over three years and I stopped taking it about three months ago. I have been taking prenatal vitamins for three months. My last period was on May 16th. On June 3rd which would have been 18 days past my first day of my last period (May 16). I started spotting /bleeding, it lasted 6 days. It was not heavy, but not a light flow either. It wasn’t like my normal period though and I think it would have been too early to have my period. Could of it been ovulation or from stopping birth control. When I first went of birth control I had a period on March 19th, then April 17th, and then May 16th. I still have not had a period yet in June. I went to the doctor and they took blood and it showed up negative. Any ideas? My husband and I are really looking

It can take a few months for your cycle to get regulated after being on birth control. If you don't see your period arriving soon, your doctor might be able to prescribe you something to get it jump started.

I doubt you ovulated this past cycle, and it's hard to say if you would before your period arrives. You might try ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) during your next one to see if you are or not.
