I'm probably not the best person to answer since I've never used them. From what I understand, once you get a + on the opk, you will most likely ovulate within 24-36 hours. So, yes, you may be fertile before receiving the +.
I only used OPKs last month and wasn't successful but from what I understand the line should be as dark as or darker then the control line in order to be a +. You might get a faint line in the days/hours leading up to O so if you see a faint line then you'll probably want to cut back on liquids, hold your urine and test a couple of times a day until you see a positive or confirm that you O'd.
Hey all....I'm a pro at the OPKs now because my cycle is 28 days sometimes and 35 sometimes so who knows when I ovulate really. I do test once a day and then when I start seeing the faint line.....I start really looking close to my cervical mucus, typically once I see the faint line, my mucus is becoming ideal. Then once your test line is EQUAL OR DARKER than the control line...that is a positive so start hitting it. You are expected after the LH surge to ovulate from 12-36 hours. Hope it helps!
Well....I'm officially 8 days past ovulation, for me, if I had fell in line with prior cycles, I would have had my period on Friday. Temps are still above baseline. I was wondering if any of you stay under 98 degrees, but still see a shift upward after ovulation. My baseline is 97.2....and now 97.9 since the big O. So I'm hopeful. No necessary symptoms of either my period OR pregnancy, so I have no clue where I stand on that. Hoping if no period come Wednesday, she will take a blood sample and check it out.
