Hi Everyone,
I am new to this board and was wondering if anyone here is attempting to concieve after having the mirena removed.
Hi there,
I had my Mirena removed on January 8th.

There are several of us here that are ttc after Mirena. Is yours already out? I had mine removed Nov 3rd, had a positive pregnancy test Jan 20th, and then a miscarriage last Thursday (I was 6 weeks). Mirena says that everything is normal after removal but I have my doubts. Mine seems to be a common post-Mirena story. I don't think I am permanently altered after Mirena but I do think that your body is not instantly back to normal. I am sure I will have a healthy pregnancy soon but will always wonder if the Mirena had an effect on the miscarriage. Not trying to worry you, just think it is a good idea to have it out for a few months before you really try to conceive. There are women that I do hear that have healthy pregnancies the month the have Mirena out but it seems they are the exception and not the most common scenario. I look forward to getting to know you better and can't wait to see that BFP for you!!!

I had mine pulled out Nov. 2nd and got preggo in Jan. but had a miscarriage. Like Tara said that seems to be more common than not. I really think they need to do a study on miscarriage after Mirena removal. Sure, it says women go on to get pregnant almost immediately, but they don't report how many of them result in miscarriage.
It may be best to wait a few cycles before TTC.
Thank you mommy-medic for my beautiful siggy!
Thanks for the clarification :)
I figure that we will wait a cycle or two (we are getting married on March 6th so waiting a month or two is best anyway).
