Hmmmmm...I really don't get this. Last month (while on our honeymoon in Paris) we TTC. My cycle is like clock work at 28 days, ovulate on the 14th (feel the pinch), period last 5 days. As I was anxious to test this month because AF was late, she showed up two days late (I have NEVER been late that long). I had cramps (although somehow different than regular AF cramps (if you know what I mean)) and today...nothing...cramps are gone...AF is gone...(after only 2 DAYS!). WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? I have been regular since I first got my period at age 15 (I am now 30). The month I decide to TTC, I get a short and late period with unusual cramps!?! Anyone been threw this??? Please HELP, when you are as regular as I am, this happening to me is really scary!!!

Don't be scared! Just take a test! I assume from your post you don't temp....so you *may* have "o"d a couple of days late. But now, was AF heavy or much lighter? I know it was much shorter.....if it was also much lighter then there is a chance it was break through or implantation bleeding from pg. TAKE A TEST and you will know. AF can be different cycle to cycle due to hormone variances too.

Believe me I know exactly what you mean. I have always had a very regular 28 day cycle, never ever been late then bam, you miss a day and your so excited you think your pregnant the 1st month. Then come to find out you're not, it's torture I know. Anyways I was 11 days late and thought for sure I was pg, but no. I was so confused and went to the dr at 7 days late and she said it just happens, no explanation for anything. And to top it off when AF was 11 days late it was very light and spotting for 4 days, skipped a day had spotting, skipped 3 days and had red/brown discharge(TMI). So I'm not sure if that was actually AF or what and if O will be messed up. I don't think anyone really knows the answer. Anyways, just wanted to let you know it's not just you. Good luck!

Tara,

First off, no, I don't temp since I feel an ovulation "pinch" every month so I know exactly when I do. AF was light on Tuesday (2 days late though) then as day went on it got heavier (and more red), yesterday was a regular heavy AF day but as of this morning...gone! I took a test on Tuesday morning (just before AF came, i was then two days late) and did get a BFN. Also, was having symptoms but they are gone now. It is just frustrating that I've always been so regular and as soon as I TTC my body is freaking out on me.

Thanks

Patricia,

Okay, here is my story. It's very similar, unfortunately with a bad ending. But, that doesn't mean that that's what's happening here.

My dh and I started trying last month also. I'm always very regular, 27-28 days. I'm also pretty confindent about when I ovulate. Anyway, I was 7 days late for AF. I tested every day that AF was late and got BFN. However, I was feeling symptoms and was convinced I was pg. I'm never late and it's too coincidental that I'm 7 days late on the month we start ttc. Anyway, after 7 days post AF I started bleeding with some unusual, not painful, but unusual cramping (I just thought it was AF). I bled pretty heavy the first day then very spotty after that for 5 days. The day after I stopped bleeding I took another hpt because I still felt some mild pg symptoms. It came out BFP. I called the doc. They wanted a HcG count. When I got it done, I was pg but my levels were low. I came in 48 hours later and tested again and the numbers were decreasing. I had had a m/c. I took my final HcG test Monday and my levels are now at below pg level.

That's just my story. I know it's a bad ending, but that doesn't mean that's what's happening with you. I just though you might see the similarities and maybe take another test or ask your doctor for a blood test to see what's going on.

Good luck and I hope you are pg and all turns out well

Susan
