Does any one have an uncircumcised husand? I find my husbands gets sore and red at the tip. Would you have your son circumcised?

Well, safe to assume the ignorant post was to me since I am the one that mentioned hygeine.
What I meant was hygeine choices like bath vs shower, lotions, powders, boxers vs briefs, etc. Hence the term personal hygeine (which basically emcompasses all practices for one's own personal health and body).
It is simply a fact that an uncircumsized penis needs more specific care and cleaning than a circumsized one. That's just how it is.
I never said that poor hygeine was the cause for anything. Please be more careful when you are reading if you are going to make rude statements afterward.
If my DH weren't uncircumsized, there would have been more discussion into the decision whether or not to do our son. I know alot of moms who aren't really for or against it, but do want the son to be like the dad. And so they get it done, or don't get it done.
Since DH isn't, and hasn't ever had problems, it made it easier for us to decide against it, sparing our baby the procedure (that I know isn't really too bad when done early on) and now they "match" (lol for lack of a better word) and given that Sean has handled it all his life, we know how to care for Deklan.
WOW!!! What a subject!

'tis why i apologized before you commented again ... but no, not directed toward you necessarily. it's just a hot button for me because of past "discussions" with people both near and dear to me and those I don't know IRL.
thank you for the longer explanation and understanding.

My son's father wasn't circumcised as well and so i decided not to circumcise my son. However, i noticed when he was 3 years old his foreskin wasn't retracting at all. I brought it up with the dr and he told me that it should retract or start to retract sometime soon and explained what i needed to do just to stretch the skin after his bath. It was really red and didn't want to retract at all. Finally towards his 4th birthday i decided that i should go see a uriologist to see what he thought. He agreed that my son had to be circumcised because it looked like it wasn't retracting on its own due to the opening being small. Because of the risk of infection due to this i agreed. He wasn't a happy camper but was a trooper with it I can't imagine how painful it was for him but he fully recovered. I know many babies go on to have no issues with being uncircumcised, this was just my experience :) Now i don't think I'd hesitate due to my son remembering his being circumcised! Hope that helps! :)
