Update on Abbey

I just wanted to let you all know about our friend Abbey.

First off, right now she is ok!!! :)

I just spoke to Methodist Hospital where she delivered Isabel and they had received several calls on this. They referred me to the St. Louis Park police department. When I called the police they were also aware of the situation. They had been to Abbey's house yesterday (Sunday) at 4. Her dad was there with her at that time trying to help her thru this. I explained who I was and how I didn't really know her and that none of us had any true right to information but that we were all just so concerned about her. I left my home phone number with the police and asked if there was any change could they please let us know. I will keep you updated if I hear anything.

As a side note to Abbey (and I do hope she reads this) - I went to Babyland at Lakewood Cemetary this afternoon. I hadn't been able to stop thinking about you and your sweet baby and I wanted to pay my respects to her. I found her grave, even tho it isn't yet marked, and left some flowers for her to enjoy. I can't imagine the pain you go thru hourly and I can only hope and pray that God gives you the strength to face your sorrow and emerge from your dark days able to live fully again. Please join us again when you can, sweetie - we want to help you.

love,

Anna

Anna,

Thank you for what you have done and for updating us. I am sure Abbey, her family and friends are grateful to you and the others who have reached out to her. It was very sweet of you to leave flowers for Isabel. I'm sure others would do the same if they were close by.

Anna,

Gosh, what an awesome person you are! Brought tears to my eyes reading it. It's so amazing how we're all from all over the world but yet it's like we're ONE big family! It's so great so see so many WONDERUL (sorry for the caps, needed to stress it..he-he) women out there being so nice and caring for someone they don't know and never met! Thats incrediable to me. You should all be so proud of yourselves for posting to Abby and taking the time to care for a complete stranger (someone whom you do not have a relationship with). You ladies are simply amazing and so unselfish to me and I am so glad I found this great board! I hope Abby is ok, she is deeply hurt still, god her website was so sweet and hearfelt it crushed me! Anyways before crying all over my key board just wanted to put my 2 cents in.

This post gives me some peace and somewhat closure in a way...it's been so hard not knowing and worrying about her, so I truly appreciate hearing some sort of news. Despite the fact that I don't even know her, the post was so saddening to read and left me feeling so hopeless.

The internet is such a bizarre 'entity' and has caused a lot of horrible things along it's way but a story like this makes me feel that there is still SO much good in mankind (or womankind in this case!) It's touching and heartwarming to know that in some part, we all played a role in helping this woman find some safety and hopefully "rescued" her. Despite anyone's feelings on suicide - we all feel for her and have been so hopeful for a positive outcome - we've got to remember we're all in this - ttc, life, all of it - TOGETHER - and to help eachother along should be our goal. I/we will continue to look for good news and hope to hear from Abbey soon as well - I'd think all these posts of good will and spirit would help her through....

Thanks SOOOO much for your wonderful update. Even though she's still got alot to work through, it's nice to know she's still with us & getting help. I was worried sick ever since that intial post Sunday. Makes me appreciate my life & loved ones even more!

Anna, THank you for your follow up email. I have been thinking about Abbey so much lately. I am thankful somebody got to her in time.

And also a big thank you to Jenn44 who, I think, was the first one to actually call the hospital. Excellent thinking!

All you women are unbelievable. And who says there aren't good people in this world????

Love to you all and big hugs all around,

Shawn
