Good Sunday morning everyone. Hope everyone is doing well this morning and feeling very positive. I can't believe I got up at 5:30 a.m. on a Sunday, but I did. I just couldn't wait anymore, I had to take the test. I'm only 11dpo and I have never tested positive on a hpt until way past when AF is due, but I said what the heck and did it anyway (knowing very well that it probably was too soon). Well, the results were POSITIVE, I think. The line was pretty faint, but definately there. You don't even have to struggle to see it (but it is pretty light). I'm taking it as a positive. I'm also looking at it as a very good sign my levels will be up this time because I've never gotten a positive this early. (I'm so scared I'm going to m/c again.) I'm going to wait to tell my dh (if I can keep it in) until I get a stronger line (no sense in both of us being disappointed if I'm just crazy). I really want to test again tomorrow, but I only have one test left.

Do you think I should wait until Monday or Tuesday to test again? Do you really think I'm pg even if the line was light?

Your temps look really good, and I've read hpt's instuctions that say the color of the line can vary, as long as there are two lines take it as a +. I would test again tomorrow morning.

Good luck!

HI Susan,

Sounds to me like you're pregnant! Congratulations!!! I don't have an answer for you in regards to when you should test again. Knowing myself, I would test the next day in the a.m. (but that's me). You mentioned that in the past, you got your BFP after AF was due. Can you please elaborate? I am 2 days late, was feeling symptoms but got a BFN up until 1 day before AF was due. I am feeling to discouraged to test again because I don't want to see another BFN. I am curious though. Is it possible that even with early response it wont show positive for some women until AFTER AF is due?

I wish you a very H & H 9 months!! I am very excited for you. Try not to stress about a possible m/c. Think positive! Everyone reading your post will be praying and throwing positive vibes your way. Have a great day and enjoy it!!

I'm sending a quiet congrats out to you now Susan....but I'm ready to yell it when you are! It is definitely a positive sweetie, but I don't blame you for being hesitant~ I don't think any of us look at a BFP the same way after a m/c. Major *******STICKY VIBES********* heading your way! I would wait til Monday to test again.....give it a good 2 days to get the hcg doubled up and a nice dark line for you!

Hi Ellen,

If you are 2 days late, I'd test again if it was me. I know you're worried about seeing the BFN again. But when I got pg with my dd (now 4.5 yrs), I tested with an early response on the evening of the 13th day DPO (so the night before AF should have arrived). It was also a BFN. But because of the symptoms I was having, I *knew* I was pg. They symptoms were the same as my previous pg (a mc). So I waited 2 more days and tested again. Even then, the line was so faint I was afraid I was imagining it. But later the OB did a blood test and it all came back +++++++++.

Good luck!

Definatly looks like you timed things right. Two lines is positive, as long as they are there, it doesnt matter how dark. With my DD my second line was so light my friend couldnt see it, but I could. She kept saying it was negative, but it was there. Just as long as your not mistaking it for an evaporation line Id say its safe to say Congrats!!!!

PS...I bet its a boy too, due to your timing...let me know if Im right! :)

Hi Susan,

From what I've heard, a positive line, although faint, is still positive. However, is there a remote possibility that there is still pg hormone in your body from your m/c and that's what's registering the faint line?

I only mention that because it's so hard to get hopes up only to have them deflated again with a BFN. I truly hope that it really is "new" pg hormones, not the old ones! If it were me though, I'd wait another day or two, just in case. (Well, Ok honestly, I probably *wouldn't* wait. I'd try to tell myself that logically I should wait, but I don't have very good will power).

I'll be thinking +++++++++ vibes for you!

Oh Susan I'm so excited to hear the good news. I just knew this was the month, I hope it's mine too. I know how you feel about being anxious to take a test. I'm so happy for you. Well I'm only 6 dpo, going by when I think I O'd, so I'll be taking a test probably next Friday if I can wait that long. But I bought like 15 tests off the internet, so I'm sure I'll have enough if I start using them now which I know is too early but is so tempting when you have them. ~~~Sending very sticky vibes your way~~~, and send some of your baby dust my way. I hope everything goes well this time, I'm sure it will. Please try not to stress yourself out about m/c, just try to stay calm and think positive. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers Susan.

Thanks guys. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you, I have been out all morning. As far as having HcG still in my system from the m/c, I don't think so. My last blood test for the m/c was 9/8 and it was only 2.5 (below pregnancy level and definately below hpt level). I also read somewhere where you wont ovulate until all the hormone is out of your system and I definately ovulated.

Ellen, yes, with with my ds I didn't test positive until almost 2 weeks past AF and with my last pregnancy (m/c) I didn't test positive until 12 days past AF. I'm not sure why. I would definately test again if I were you. You can't be sure when implantation took place so maybe the HcG level just isn't high enough to register on the hpt.

I think I'm going to wait and retest on Tuesday just to see if the line gets darker. I don't know how I'm going to keep from grabbing that test tomorrow, but I'm going to do everything I can. If it's darker on Tuesday, I'm going to call my OB to get a blood test just to make sure my levels are rising. I think that will ease my mind as far as m/c.

If I am pregnant (which I'm almost positive I am) baby dust is going out to all of you. I will post later this week to let you all know the results for sure.

Susan
