Very confused, need help!

I've been lurking here for several months but now I have a question.

Today is cd 32 for me...I tested last Saturday with EPT, got BFN. I also tested on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with FRE, all BFN. Since last night, I have tested four times with EPT with the same result every time. At three minutes when the directions say to read the test, BFN but like clockwork at 10 minutes a VERY faint line appears. I called the 800#, they said that it's positive b/c it can take up to 20 minutes for the test to finish processing. At 20 minutes, there is a definite line that you don't have to squint to see.

I'm confused b/c I figured the line should be darker because I'm on cd 32 and with my previous two pregnancies, I got very dark BFPs right away.

Please help before I go crazy! Thanks in advance!

The SAME THING happened to me! I tested with EPT this past Monday (on CD33), and after 3 minutes, no line, so I picked it up to look at it in the light. AFter about 3 more minutes, there was a shadow of a line. The directions say it can take up to 20 minutes.

I did call the 800 number and they said since I moved the test it may not be accurate. So I took another one (FRE) later that night and before the urine could move across the panel the 2nd line came up.

I did take another EPT the next day which still took 5 minutes to show a faint line...I took another one yesterday to make myself feel better and it was finally dark.

I say congrats, you are pg!

regarding your CD and the faintness of the line, it's possible you O'd later than you thought.

Wow, I am sorry you are having so many problems with those darn tests. After reading everyone's experiences on this board, they don't seem to neither reliable or easy. I think I would just have a blood test done at the doctor's office. You don't want to waste any more money on the tests if they are not going to give you the right information.

On another note, I took a peak at your profile and noticed that we have a lot in common. I have two DDs ages 3 and 1, almost the same as you and am 26 years old and live in Florida. Small world. Anyway, good luck and I wishing for a confirmed BFP for you.

I agree...blood test blood test blood test! For whatever reasons the line may not be dark enough but I've always heard 'a line is a line' so I'd confirm with a test - call today! Good luck!!

Thanks everyone, I called my doctor and he's out of town until Monday so I guess I'll be waiting until then to find out for sure. I still have two more tests at home so I'll probably POAS again this weekend and see if it gets darker! I don't want to get my hopes up though and have a BFN...that's the worst.

Tallymommy - what part of Florida are you? I'm in SW Florida, Ft. Myers area.

Thanks again everyone!
