Hi Ladies,

Was Wondering if someone could shed some light on this. Yesterday I O'ed for sure. I am very aware of my O pains and never have had them this painful. I had to lie down for a while. It felt like O pain combined with a pinching in my uterus. Well anyway, Is it possible to maybe O 2 eggs from the same Ovary? I do know that you usually O 1 egg from each Ovary if you have fraternal twins...and I think I read that you can O 2 eggs from the same Ovary but it is highly unusual. Can anybody confirm that? I'll tell you, the pain was so uncomfortable that I thought I was getting an ovarian cysct (sp?) which I've had once before (a very memorable experience). But that pain ususally included being dubbed over in pain (which I wasn't yesterday) and also a high fever. Just wondering how to make sense of this very unusal O pain.

Hi. I have a very painful O about 3-4 times a year. I have no idea what make some months worse than others. I usually have to take an advil to help w/ the pain. It also hurts more when I am active. I guess this doesn't help you to much but at least you know your not alone. The only thing I thought maybe was the size of the egg? Could that have something to do w/ it? GL

Hi, i just wanted to add to the previous post, if you are ttc you should only take tylenol, not advil or alleve or aspirin. In light of the recent findings about NSAIDS and the link to miscarriage, you should avoid all pain killers except tylenol, especially at the time of conception (which would be after O). On another note, I have had bad O pain the last two months, I told my dr. and he didn't seem concerned. You may want to mention it to your dr. if you have an appointment.

Oh...

thats a good logical thought....the size of the egg. I never thought of that. Maybe thats what causes it to hurt so much. Well thanks for taking the time to post back to me, I appreciate your thoughts. Marcy

Hi Patentlydeb,

Thanks for the caution on the Advil. I am TTC and am aware of the hazards of anything but Tylenol. Thanks for the "heads up" though. Everybody on this board is so cautious and concerned about correct info. I think thats great!! Marcy
