This week has not been great and I have a bad feeling it's about to get worse!!

I had a checmical pregnancy last month, I started spotting (very, very lightly) on 7/27.

I understand your frustration, today is frustrating for me too. I feel like I got my O date wrong, but I have no idea. I got (what I thought were) postive OPKs Sat-Mon. The lines were the same color. Then Tues-Thurs the lines were practically non-existant. I had cramping on Monday and last night as well. So today, just for the hell of it I decide to test again today and the test line was SIGNIFICANTLY darker than the control line! So I BD'd today just to be safe, but now I have no clue when I ovulated!

So now I just feel confused and have no idea when to test or anything, THANKFULLY I have an appointment with my ob/gyn on Monday to get hormone levels checked (I am on clomid). But now this wait to Monday is going to drag on and on and on...

I guess we just have to hang in there! Are you seeing an ob/gyn?

I have heard it is common to to even have annovulatory cycle after a miscarriage so not sure if the same would apply with a chemical pregnancy? You could also just be O'ing later and have a wonky cycle because of the chemical pregnancy. How long did it take your hcg levels to go down afterwards? There is still the chance you just didnt O yet so don't give up.

Ugh! Sorry you're in the middle of this mess :( I'd test again later this afternoon/early evening. Lh fluctuates so perhaps it was just lower. No judging here about bd'ing -sometimes we only dtd during the fertile window cause we get so busy. Fx'd you didn't miss it

The general rule of thumb is to start counting CD1 on the first day of flow, so I would have done the same thing counting 7/31 as cd1. I think the bright side is yes, it's very possible your body either was gearing up to ovulate and just wasn't able to do it yet (hence the darker opk's) and you're still going to ovulate sometime this month. Unfortunately, after reading what you wrote, I would also say it is also possible you already ovulated. Do your opk's have much of a fade-out pattern after you ovulate (do you know?)? Like usually my opk is pretty light the day after I ovulate...so does those 2 opks being half color mean anything to you? Did you test at the same time this morning as the past 2 days, and hold your urine for 4 hrs? Oh, it looks like you tested last night and then this morning--maybe hold your urine this afternoon and test again tonight? In any case, even if you did already ovulate maybe it happened yesterday and you caught the egg. I would probably just keep taking the opk's for a few days to see what they do. I'm sorry it's so frustrating!!! Hang in there.

That has happened to me a few months, where my opks starting getting dark like I was gearing up for it and than they got light again and even thought I had missed it but I ended up Oing later, I use quite a bit of opks every months needless to say lol

I'm going to have to disagree with most of the PPs. If you have not gotten a + OPK yet, then you didn't O. My OPKs vary in color EVERYDAY! Some are darker, some are lighter, some are *almost* positive. I've never had a fade in pattern. I've had what was *almost* positive on CD14, then they got way lighter, but didn't get a + until day 19-20 and Oed on CD21 (confirmed with temps and LP length). OPKs are not meant to be used as anything except + or -. Keep testing as normal until you get a +. I bet within the next couple days you'll see a nice, 100% dark line.

Also, I like to use cheaper OPKs, and if I think it might be +, I use a digital OPK to confirm so I'm not worrying about decoding lines, but not spending a ton of money either.

I don't know much about OPK's, but I do know how hard it is to hear about other women getting pg when you want it more than anything. It's perfectly fine to pout and feel sorry for yourself for a little bit :)

I agree with the fact that the lines vary from day to day. Have you noticed any other signs like EWCM or cramping? Also, I may be way off base here, but is it possible that the OPK may have been picking up some left over HCG? I've heard OPKs can do that.

I agree with Mrs Kevin. Last cycle, I was in a similar boat as you and thought Id missed it and then on CD18 I got a positive very dark line. I find there is no rhyme or reason to the colours on the O tests until you actually get the positive very dark line. Best of luck and hang in there.

Thank you, thank you ladies!!! Here is the update, the line faded to pretty much nothing (tested again on Thur and twice yesterday), tested again this morning and not much of a line, then lo and behold, it's starting to show again tonight!! Generally my lines start getting darker and darker until I get a +, so hopefully this means I didn't miss it!! Like I said, I usually O between CD14-16, today is 14 so it's looking good. Fingers crossed! I think the chemical is playing mind games with me and I may have panicked a little bit :) Better get off the computer and go BD, just in case :)

Oh, and add two more to the pregnant list this week. Why do they all seem to come at once??

Thanks again ladies! Good luck to all of you!!
