What is up with the dip this morning...

Okay, I need your charting expertise. I had ovulation pains on CD15, CP was very high and very soft, lots of watery CM (sorry...TMI), had temp drop and then a subsequent temp rise on CD16, so what gives with the temp dip again today. This is not typical for me. I pretty much have textbook ovulation patterns and symptoms. (Also, I was freezing when I woke up this morning. I was uncovered and had taken my night shirt off in the middle of the night and it was colder in the house this morning than usual - got really cold outside for the first time this year last night.)

Here's my chart: http://circles2.fertilityfriend.com/home/21d8b

Any thoughts? TIA!!

I have actually had a similar situation happen to me. Perhaps since you did not have any egg white CF you did not actually O. The last few cycles I have had a very late O, I think mostly due to stress. This month we had my 10 yr HS reunion and I would have normally O'd that weekend but I guess I had enough stress that I did not O until 4 days later. I would wait and see what your temps do, I am not saying I am positive you did no O yet but it is possible that it could be delayed this month for some reason.

Keep your head high and try to wait a few more days before you get too concerned that this is not your month.

A change in your sleeping conditions can easily change your temps, so that could be what is responsible for the dip. However, I don't think your rise on CD16 is necessarily high enough to indicate ovulation. The other chart you have posted has either a slow rise or else you ovulated later than FF pinpointed. It is possible to have O pains before, during or after ovulation, so it is hard to tell if you actually O'd on that day or not. It just gives you a general idea. To be on the safe side, I would BD today with the temp drop just in case. You really won't know either way until a few more days of temps and charting.

Chandla,

Hello there. I would have to disagree with you on one thing you posted :-) about not having a high enough temp increase to have Oed. I only had a .1 temp hike the day after O and I KNOW for sure I Oed on either cd 16 or 17. I got the peak reading on my fert. monitor on cd 16 which leads me to believe I had Oed on cd 17 (24-36 hrs. from 1st peak reading) I also just finished my 1st round of clomid 100mg cd 4-8 and I had the worst O pain 3 days leading up to O (a side effect of clomid) and I had O pains the day of O (cd 17) but my increase the next day was nothing to write home about. I think I have a slow rise temp as well, it is going up consistantly from O date. What do you think with my chart? I wasn't trying to say you didn't know what you're talking about, please don't take this that way, I wanted to let you know I am pretty sure I Oed with only a .1 temp hike. I am going to get my 7dpo prog. test done this Friday so that will double confirm my sureness.

Julie

Thank you so much for your input Chanda. I have been charting for four months now and I definitely have slow temp rises. The most I see is .2 - .4. Also, I am 99% sure I ovulated on CD16 last month due to CP, CM & O pains as well.

Again, thanks!
