What do flat temps. mean?

Ok ladies - I am confused by my chart and I have a question... this is my 2nd month charting and 2 miscarriages in my history. Apparently I O late in my cycle. Looks like I should have "O'd" yesetrday based on my positive OPK on 8/9 and all the O-Pain I had yesterday. I know my temps are supposed to go up for 3 days to confirm ovulation, but my temp this morning is exactly the same as yesterday 97.7. I didn't sleep well - had lots on my mind and was up and down throughout the night - could that have an impact on my temp. Is your waking temp usuallu higher or lower than a temp. after you have been awake for a while? What do you ladies think - DH and I want to be PG so bad.

I couldn't see your chart; the link only brought me to the login page for FF. I'm guessing your chart is okay... the major thing to look for is your "thermal shift." Even though today's temp is the same as yesterday's temp, it is still part of the "group of highs" that occur after ovulation. After three days of temps in this "group of highs," you can confirm ovulation. Every woman doesn't necessarily experience an increasing temp each day; some even have a "fallback rise," with a temp rise the first day, then a drop, and then a rise again.
Generally, a restless night's sleep will cause a higher waking temperature.
Good luck to you!

Unfortunately, I couldn't see your chart, but if you got a postive OPK, you should see a temp rise within a few days. IF you don't, you may have delayed ovulation (if you do ov later, or you may be anovulatory. I would talk to the doctor in that case. I wouldn't worry that it isn't up the very next day though. After a positive OPK, it may tkae 2 days to O, then another day or two for the temp rise to show. Just wait and see at this point, don't stress yet!
Best of luck!
