Hi, I'm a lurker and occasionally post. I belong to the clomid TTC board. I have some questions that I want to get as much feedback on as possible.

This is CC4 and I'm on cd17. Tues I had an US that revealed only 1 folly at 11mm. Normally I've already had the HCG & O'd by CD14, so for some reason this cycle is much longer. Yesterday I went in for my annual appt. He couldn't do the pap because I'm taking Estrace and he says it interferes. However, he was able to check me and when he did he mentioned that my uterus was tipped back. Now I've had 1 baby and I don't ever remember him saying that. The nurse also mentioned it at my us on Tues. What does that mean? Is it bad?

Also, my other question is I have finally figured out that the pain I get each month around this time is not my ovaries, but my cervix. Tues when I did the us and yesterday during the exam I felt a tremendous amount of pain/pressure. Like someone was pushing my cervix. So I checked myself and my cervix is extremely low and very open. I can't even sit down real hard or I feel the pressure. I'm still at least 3 - 5 days away from ovulation so what does this mean? Is my cerv supposed to be low and open to be ready for O?

One last question, has anyone else O'd much later than the previous months? I also only have 1 folly and all the previous months I had 2 or 3. Does this mean my chances are much smaller of getting pg?

Thank you so much for putting up with all my questions.

Hi Kerry,

I can respond to some of your questions:

Tipped uterus: I have one too and have been told it's not a problem. One piece of advise I did get though is the normal "put a pillow under your butt after BD" method doesn work for those with tipped uterus. I've heard it's better to lie on stomach with hips slightly elevated. I have no idea if this is right or makes sense.

Your cervix should be high and open at O, but if you're 3-5 days away, then it makes sense that it's still low. Mine really only goes high on the day of O.

And, finally, though I have never O'd very late, I have heard that some women's cycles vary from month-to-month, or could be thrown off by an unusual event, stress, etc.

Sorry I can't answer the other questions.

HTH.

Katie,

that is so interesting, this whole time I have been doing the pillow under the butt thing. I'll try the stomach/hip one this month and see if it makes a difference.

I thought the cervix is supposed to be high, I don't understand why mine is so low right now. In the past months I have some pain with BD because he's (banging) my cervix (sorry if TMI) because it's so darn low. LOL And until approx 4 days ago I didn't have this problem, now all the sudden it's low. Any idea what would cause my cervix to not go high? Any idea approx how soon before O your cervix goes high?

I really wanted to BD a few days before O this month because we haven't done that in the past months. However, I think I'd be in real pain.
