What is the normal progesterone level?
| Thu, 09-25-2003 - 5:14pm |
Hi everyone,
I just got the results of my progesterone test back and it was at 22. The doc said this was normal, but I'm just curious what the normal range is. Is this low-normal, high-normal etc. Can anyone help?

This HAS to be your month, 11 mo. of ttc #1? My god it's your turn and I can't wait to see your post next week! I live in Sterling Heights, I know where Arcadia is and I LOVE Traverse City, we went a few years back and I LOVED it there, we rented a small cottage on the water. Let me know what day you plan on testing, I'd love to know!
Again, good luck and hang in there. Also, I wanted to tell you one more thing that I forgot to mention, with a level of 22 (I think you posted) you are most certainly pg. Most levels of progesterone when you O are about 15-18 and you're at a 22 which also points to a pg, the higher the number, the more likely is it to be pg and some women base pg on not only some early symptoms but also on their progesterone level, yours is considered high which all the resarch I've done.
Looking good, can't wait to hear the good news.

Looked at your chart today (hope you don't mind) another high temp, I'm telling you you're pg for sure! Gosh, I am so excited for you.
Hey quick q for you: if you don't mind me asking, how much is your clomid perscription? I know most insur. do not cover it as mine does not. My pharmancy is charging me about $70 for 100mg ($35.00 per 5 pills @50mg) for the generic brand which they said was the exact same thing. They only sell them in 50mg doses so if you need 100mg like me they charge you again for a 50mg supply. I don't get it. Does this price sound about right? I don't know why they don't make one pill that contains 50mg, 100mg and 150mg instead of taking 2 pills per day like I'll have to do. YOu take 3 pills for 5 days then right? I even had my doc write the script for irregular menses and my insur. still wouldn't cover it since it's considered a "fertility pill" so no matter what it's prescribed for, they will not pay for it but they'll pay for all infertility related stuff like US and blood tests, etc. oh well just wondering if you pay about that our higher since you're on 150mg (but not for long...)
Thanks and have a great weekend. Ya know, you may be able to get a faint line on Sunday this weekend..just a thought.

My insurance is really good, so all I pay is an $8.00 copay for however many pills I need. I'm very thankful for that or else I'd be forking out a lot of money. That's too bad that your ins. co. doesn't cover it, but not too many do. Ok, so I actually tested today with a CB easy earliest and it was BFN. I know it was too early, but I had to do it anyway. I might try again on Sunday if the IPS/RPS continue and the temps stay up. I can't remember if you told me this already, but are you charting at all? I'd like to see it once you get going on this cycle (if you do it online). Well, have a great weekend, and I'll definitely put a post out for you on Sunday whether I test or not.

Well do not get discouraged, it is too early in my opinion but Sunday might show something. Try E.P.T., I know a lot of girls have luck with that one. Are you still continuing to have the creamy cm and sore bb's? Are they (bb's) still sore on surronding areas? As long as most of the "real" pg symptoms don't go away all together, I wouldn't worry about the bfn at all today. Are you feeling fatigue at all too? Thats another HUGE symptom.
Yes, I am charting with FF now, 1st month charting online, I was just temping before but yes, I will have it posted on FF online and paste my link into my post. I am only on cd 3 today and af is still here but I'd love to post my ff online and show you as my cycle progresses, how sweet of you to ask.
Well definatlely post to me about Sunday. Good luck again.
