What temp should I put?

This am I popped the little BT in to my mouth and kinda fell back asleep... I was tired! Anyway, I woke up and read it, 97.28. I tried again and stayed awake holding it in my mouth properly and the reading came back 97.84. Now, the dilemna, which to track? It's only .56 change but that's half a degree! What would you do?

Here's another question: You know when you HAVE to get up to go pee in the middle of the night, well I got up at 3 am and I get up to go to work at 5:30, there was only 2.5 hours of semi continious rest (I glanced at the clock at 5am and dozed back off). Would you take your temp at 3 rahter than when you got up 2.5 hours later?

Thanks - sunny :)

Sunny. I would take the second temp because you fell asleep and you don't know if the thermometer stayed in the right spot. Plus, you stuck it right back in without getting up or anything, right? So, it was just like you were waking up. I would take the second set.

As far as what time you should take your temp, I would take it at the time you get up the most, like 5:30. Unless, you get up to pee every night at 3:00 a.m. I'm curious how much waking up prior to normal temp time effects temp. I'm having some trouble sleeping these past couple of days. I normally get up at 7 a.m. and I've been waking up at 5 a.m. then going back to sleep, then like 6:15 then going back to sleep then 6:45 and so on and so on. Do you think just waking up will effect temp that much?

I am a snoozer and it ranges from 1 - 5 snoozes and I actually have to stand up out of bed to hit the snooze button. But I haven't noticed any odd temps depending on the number of snoozes. I also do get up to pee sometimes and haven't noticed a change in the temp due to that. (I think I am practically still asleep when I get up and pee though). So I think it depends on how much things disrupt YOU, I think it varies from person to person.

If a temp looks out of whack and you know something that could be the reason, I would disregard that temp.

Good Luck

Thanks! I don't think that it really could effect the temp that much, espcially if you jump back into bed after going to the loo. I am going to try and experiment tomorrow... take the waking temp then go to the loo, and take it again, then walk around the hose doing my "thing" and take it again - just to see how much it increases. When you go to pee you got pee, hopefully it didn't disturb it too much.

I am feeling crampy today :( that can't be a good sign. Oh well, still hoping! :)

Looking on the "sunny" side of things - Sunny :)
