What would you do? CD 59

Hello all! I am fed up with my cycle. I am on CD 59 today, I had a positive opk on Sunday. So far no temp shift. My dr thinks I may have PCOS. My dr wont prescribe provera until 2 or 3 months without a period. Well, tomorrow will be 2 mos. So should I ask for provera or should I give it a few more days because of the OPK?

What would you do?

Thanks all for sharing your stories!

I called for the results of my bloodwork. Apparently the lab forgot to run one of the tests sooo I wont have my results for ANOTHER 4 or 5 days. UGH.

But in the meantime, I am starting Provera. Then when my ob-gyn gives me a call with the results, we will discuss Clomid.

It feels good for once to NOT be waiting to O. I have been waiting 60 days already...

I hope AF shows up sooner rather than later...

Rebecca-

I am so sorry that you are having to deal with an uncooperative doctor's office on top of ttc.

Thanks Kara.

I am already feeling good about my decision. I am so happy there is an end from this cycle in sight and I am now in control (wow I sound crazy) I think a mental break from "waiting to ovulate" is exactly what I need. I realy hope my ob-gyn will give me the clomid

Britt, I am not sure. I really think CD16 if no other signs. but I guess it could be cd 19.... I guess you just have to wait it out. Either way, you are ok with BD.

I hope you get your bfp, but if not it would be fun to be cycle buddies next cycle.

Hey I was just dropping by and read your message, i too had very long cycles after coming of the pill, my cycles were like 60 odd days and i thought i had been ovulating, my doctor thought i had pcos and brought me in in november for a laproscopy but turned out i didn't have anything and it was just my underactive thyroid conditio causing my long cycles. Have you ever got that checked?

I started clomid in december, 1st round 50mg didn't work af came day 19. 2nd round 50mg i ovulated but didn't get pregnant, 3rd round on 50mg i didn't even ovulate and waited until day 40 odd and still no af, well my consultant told me to start clomid without my af coming, i was confused as to how that would work when most people have to take something to being af on. Well i had a wee bit of spotting when i started the clomid 100mg that time and i done it i got a bfp on day 24, i was away for a scan yesterday and everything looking good.

Just wanted to give you some reassurance that it can happen with clomid and i would def give it a go if you are having trouble with your long cycles.

Good luck
