What is wrong with me!???

I just don't know what to think anymore. I know the obvious answer is to ask my doctor what's going on. And I'll have my chance on Tuesday... maybe.

I quit BC at the end of May. I had two normal cycles after that. (Normal for me with no BCPs was 28 to 30 days... that was over three years ago) During the third cycle I had mid-cycle bleeding. Not spotting. A day and a half of actual light bleeding. That was around cd 14. Then I continued spotting off and on for three weeks after that. It was cd 50 before I had a semi-normal AF. It was lighter than "normal" and I had no cramping, but it lasted 7 days and seemed normal.

On cd 12 of this cycle, we BD. I had some spotting after that, but that isn't unusual. I spotted a little yesterday as well (cd 13). I also started having some EWCM and was actually pretty optimistic about this cycle. Then today I find I'm bleeding!!!! It's light, but far more than spotting. It's exactly like what happened during my last cycle from hell. What is the deal here??? I guess I can only wait to see what happens.

Tuesday I am supposed to have a colposcopy done, but I can't if I am bleeding. I may just keep the appointment to talk to my doctor about my weird cycles.

Help!

It sounds like your hormones may be a little out of wack, probably partly due to coming off BCP. If your hormones are out of synch, that could cause all this strange bleeding at odd times. I would ask the doctor if there is something they can prescribe to jumpstart your system or they may ask you to wait a bit longer to see if it fixes itself. I hope they can do something for you!

Probably nothing is wrong with you--however frustrating it is, sometimes it just takes a long time to get the BCP out of our systems. I feel your frustration, though. I'm right there with you--ended BCP (after being on for the better part of 10 years) at the end of May, and now I'm having 24 day cycles, and for 3 out of the 4 so far, I've spent about 10 of the 24 days bleeding in one way or another.

It's a good idea to talk with your doctor--she'll have ideas or at least make you feel a little better. (And if she doesn't, think about finding another doctor!) I finally called mine to complain and she has me scheduled for an ultrasound to make sure everything looks ok, and then wants to move to other tests if it does. It is possible that stress or other factors can throw off the cycle, especially if the colposcopy is not just a wellness checkup?

Have you started charting yet? I just started this cycle, and am finding it quite useful, even though it's just confirming what I've suspected (but it is good to have something that suggests I really am ovulating, not just going through the motions.) Good luck!

Thank you! I am charting, but haven't detected O yet this cycle. Last cycle, FF said I Oed but I am not sure if it was accurate or not. My temp rise was not significant and even now I am no lower than I was after "O" last cycle. I did have a positive OPK last cycle and so far they are all negative but they seem to be growing stronger each day. I haven't tested yet today. I usually test around 5 or 6PM. Everything was looking good until today when I started to bleed. My temps are fairly level.

The colpo is due to a slightly abnormal pap. This has happened to me before, but I never had any unusual bleeding with it. That was two years ago.

I hate waiting to see what my body is going to do next.
