Hi ladies...I've been laying low for a while trying not to stress this whole process, trying to focus on other things-My beautiful 3 year old son and going back to finish my degree. But today I'm really cranky. We've been trying since October and making a mad dash for a BFP because my husband is 49 and we really wanted this to happen before his 50th birthday(FEB). Last Friday I got a faint BFP and continued to get them(I've been POAS EVERYDAY because I'm an addict). They haven't been getting darker. It's been 5 days. I've been using FRER and and the $ store tests to satisfy my crazy need to see 2 lines. I'm braking the bank! The dollar store tests are coming up negative still and the couple of digitals I took are saying NOT PREGNANT. So I'm sure this is a chemical. My HCG I just don't think is going up like it should be. And I had a slight amount of blood this morning(TMI Sorry). I just wish it would get over with instead of lingering on when I already know what's coming. . . Blah.

Thanks for the info...I did notice that this has been heavier than normal. I actually stayed home from classes today b/c I was worried that I would have a "situation" and I'm not feeling all that great. Probably the tanking hormones and all...

I've never had a chemical...I'm still waiting to see those two lines for the first time! I guess someone else hopefully will have some advice for you. I would probably say you would count it as CD1 if it's the day of red flow.

Thanks:-) Yes that's what it was. I figured as much and it's disappointing but I'm glad that it happened sooner rather than later. Now we can move on to the next cycle. Do you have any idea if this cycle will be like a normal cycle? Or should we wait to try again

It definitely could be a chemical. I would probably call your doctor and see if they want you to get any bloodwork done or just wait and see if AF comes. I'm not sure they need any tests or not at this point. I would just touch base though and see what they recommend. I'm so sorry if it does end up being a chemical. I can also understand wanting to conceive before your DH's birthday. I don't think that males really lose fertility with age though, but I could be wrong. I had a friend in college who's dad was 87...I guess he had a child very late in life! I'm sure you just want him to be able to enjoy all the milestones of having a child and not be worried about being an older parent. I hope you can get some answers soon! Let us know what happens! Best of luck to you.
