Someone recently posted a new consumer reports study of HPTs and they said First response early was the best. I think Clear Blue Easy early and Answer early were also good. I don't remember the link though..someone else might...

You have to be careful, because most sensitive (can detect the lowest amount of hCG) doesn't necessarily mean the most reliable (works like it's supposed to). I would read the Consumer Reports article and draw your own conclusion. I know that there are some internet tests that really inexpensive, but be careful, I have seen many posts here saying "internet tests suck" and the like.

Consumer reports rated First Response Early Result as the most reliable. It worked for me at 11 dpo, although I never got a dark line - only faint lines. Neither did my sister for either of her two babies!

Good luck!

hey maria, if you read this just curious if your faint lines on fre disapeared. i've taken three and all had faint positive lines but they all faded away to nothing after about an hour. just very confused and curious. thanks.

Hi D,

No - they did not dissapear. In fact, they were they for several days afterwards. Then I threw them out since it's kind of gross to keep something I peed on for that long!

Good luck,

Maria
