My LMP was July 16 and I'm usually have a 28 day cycle. DH and I have not BD'd since before my LMP, as he went to visit family in the states and work for 5 weeks (he's in the navy and we live overseas). Last week I started having major heart palpitations and have been having them since. I went to the doctor last Thursday who referred me to a local cardiologist and I am awaiting an appointment. Saturday I realized my period had not come yet and I took an Answer Early hpt just to make sure I was not preggo. It came back negative. Now I am a week late. I have never been more than a day or two late before. I tried taking another hpt this morning, but since I am overseas and at the mercy of my commissary on base I had to take the same brand, Answer Early, because that is all they had in stock. It came back negative again.
So here are my questions...Are heart palpitations a symptom of pregnancy? And do you think I might be pg eventhough the hpt's were negative and I have had my period since the last time I BD'd? Does anyone know what might cause palpitations and a missed period besides pregnancy? I am probably making a big deal out of nothing, but I'm by myself here and don't really have anyone else to ask for advice. TIA!!

One word- STRESS!!! I just had to respond to your post cuz' honey that is the one thing that will delay AF and cause heart palpitations! Trust me, I know. I'm not saying definitely but that is exactly what I thought of when I read yor post. I hope that is what is the problem because it is easily fixable but you gotta make time for yourself above all else. Take a hot bath tonight, listen to some relaxing music and think about it.
It sounds like you have alot going on right now, being overseas and all, so I hope you start taking care of yourself, OK?
