Is it from the first day of your cycle?? How many days do you ovulate, on which days?? I am confused..

Day 1 of your cycle (CD1) is the first day of full, red menstrual flow. You only ovulate on one day, but you produce fertile quality cervical fluid for several days before you O; ultimately, you then are fertile for more days than just O day, because sperm can live up to 5 days in fertile quality cervical fluid.

Everyone ovulates on a different day. If you have a consistent cycle length, you can guess that ovulation occurs 12-16 days before you expect AF.

Keep an eye on your physical symptoms of ovulation. After your period ends, you should notice some dry and/or sticky days, and later your cervical fluid should turn to more of a thin, clear, stretchy and abundant egg-white quality. Those are your super-fertile days, so BD like crazy. After you O, your cervical fluid will dry up a little. You can also chart your temps to confirm if O has occurred. For more info, I'd recommend the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler (website at www.tcoyf.com), and the website at www.fertilityfriend.com.

Good luck to you!

GM Chelle! It sounds like you're not charting? Ovulation typically occurs in the middle of your cycle..say if you have a 28 day cycle, you would expect to ovulate around day 14. Ovulation occurs usually only once and the egg is usually good for catching for only a window of about 36 hours before it's too late. So, start counting from cd1 of red blood flow. If you've got a normal occurring cycle shoot for bd from say cd8/9 through cd 16/17 and you'll be in the window. GL!!!!!!!! HTH LOLove, Connie ((((((hugs))))))

That is true, I don't chart.. Actually, it is my DH who doesn't want me to do that.. He thinks that we should just let nature take it's course and also, he thinks I will start getting obsessed with the whole thing.. Not saying that anyone charts does that, BUT he thinks I would do that, then be depressed and he doesn't want that..

Thanks for responding to my post, that makes sense!!

Thanks Again & HUGS
