Hi Kara~I am so sorry that you are going through all this. It is so frustrating, I know. Yes, I am still on clomid-my last cycle though (this is my 8th). I generally ovulate day 13-16. However, last August (my third cycle of clomid) I ovulated day 21 and I did get pregnant. Unfortunately I miscarried at 10 weeks.

Hello again-I'm glad that info was helpful to you. I am happy to help anytime. The IUI is not painful at all and it is very quick. The office will take your husband's sperm and "wash" it as they say, and they will tell you if the motility and count are okay. The RE inserts a speculum and then inserts the small tube beyond the cervix into the uterus and then puts the sperm in-it takes maybe a minute or two. Then you lie on your back for 10 minutes. That's it. My RE still recommends BD too. So, not all the romance is gone :) The IUI bypasses the CM issue. My RE said that my CM changes were a side effect of the clomid and that when I stop taking it my CM will return to normal. If I am not pregnant this cycle, then we will go another route-either femara or the injectables. I never thought I would do IUI, but it does increase our chances.

Glad you got your appointment set up. :) I'm sure you'll feel much better after talking to the RE. I would talk to your doctor about whether you should wait a cycle or not or even ask the nurse at the RE office what the doc usually recommends. When I went to the RE from my OB they told me to take a break so they could check levels, run tests etc. However, I was not hearing of that and I continued the clomid for another month. I wish I would have taken a break and got more answers before I continued. I am now on my last month of clomid because my RE will no longer prescribe it to me-I've been on it too long. Have you ever had an US done? Do yo know you are oing on the clomid? I would ask the RE office what they recommend. :)

Stephanie,

I am on my 3rd cycle of the Clomid. The first two cycles were 50mg and I O'd on CD16 and then on CD15. I always O'd on my own before Clomid as well. Now for my last Clomid cycle he increased it to 100mg ... do you think there is a good probability I will O sooner?
