Sorry, I'm getting conflicting info on the web. When does a fertilized egg implant? How many days after that until hormones are strong enough for pregnancy symptoms? I know it varies from women to women, but is there

I believe implantion is right around 7 DPO, and some HPTs can start picking up the hcg hormone at around 9 days, but obviously the longer you wait to test, the less likely of getting a false negative.

Yes a "chemical" is a miscarriage. I think a lot of people have them before they even know they're pregnant.

Implantation is 6-7dpo in most women. You can absolutely test positive on a pregnancy test shortly after and still experience a chemical pregnancy. The American Pregnancy Assoc. says this about chemical pregnancies...
Chemical pregnancies may account for 50-75% of all miscarriages. This occurs when a pregnancy is lost shortly after implantation, resulting in bleeding that occurs around the time of her expected period. The woman may not realize that she conceived when she experiences a chemical pregnancy.
A lot of women who test early will see the positive only to get their "AF" shortly after which is considered a chemical pregnancy.
With all that said, it's best not to stress over it and try and stay positive. Sticky baby vibes to you and happy and healthy 9 months!
