Yes a "chemical" is a miscarriage. I think a lot of people have them before they even know they're pregnant.

Chemical pregnancies may account for 50-75% of all miscarriages. This occurs when a pregnancy is lost shortly after implantation, resulting in bleeding that occurs around the time of her expected period. The woman may not realize that she conceived when she experiences a chemical pregnancy.
A lot of women who test early will see the positive only to get their "AF" shortly after which is considered a chemical pregnancy.
With all that said, it's best not to stress over it and try and stay positive. Sticky baby vibes to you and happy and healthy 9 months!
