How does it work?

If I have discharge today (none yesterday), that means I am about to ovulate?

Does it mean I am ovulating or about to?

When do I BD?

I don't take the temp, so that doesn't help.

Thank you!

The "discharge" should be EWCM- resembling raw clear stretchy egg whites- that is your fertile cervical mucus. You should get this a couple of days before you "o" and should bd during that time. Some women get just clear watery cm as their most fertile so watch for that too. After you have "o"d, it will probably just go dry or creamy.

GL to you!

My first suggestion is to buy Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's a great book and answers a ton of questions.

As far as your CM goes, it needs to be either the consistency of egg whites(best) or watery(2nd best). Since we have CM during most of our cycle, you'll need to monitor. The egg white CM (EWCM) usually appears a couple of days before you O. This is the best time to BD.

Since the sperm need to "transform" for 12 hours and the egg dies after 12 hours, then BDing on your actual O date might not work. Most people on this board get Pregnant when they BD either 2 days or the day before O. This is because the sperm can travel and live in our system for up to 3 days in fertile quality CM (EWCM). They can be ready and waiting in our tubes when the egg is released.

Hope this all helps!!
