Hello All!! Question.. I know ya'll are probably getting tired of me asking, but I am still confused about the whole Ovulation thing..

If my cycle was from the 19th to the 22nd, when should I expect to ovulate??

Thanks In Advance,

Do you mean that AF lasted from the 19 to 22? It depends on how long youe entire cycle is from the day you start AF to the next day you start AF. Do you know how long that usually is? The average time is 12-16 days before your next AF.

Well, AF in August was from the 20th to the 23rd, this month was from the 19th to the 22nd

This is so frustrating b/c I am never regular, it varies a couple of days

Thanks In Advance,

Chelle,

It actually sounds like you are pretty regular. It's VERY rare to get your AF on the same calendar day of each month. For instance, if I have a 28 day cycle and get my AF on 8/1, I'll start my next cycle on 8/29 - this is a perfectly normal cycle, but AF won't appear on the same calendar day.

If your August cycle began on 8/20, then Sept. began on 9/21, it looks like you had a 33 day cycle. It's perfectly natural for your cycle length to vary a couple of days from cycle to cycle.

If you are typically about a 33 day cycle, you can try to guesstimate an ovulation range at 12-16 days before AF is due... this would be CD17-CD21... so your BD fest would probably be from about CD13-CD21. This, of course, makes a lot of assumptions - like 1, that you are about a 33 day usual cycle and 2, that your LP is the usual 12-16 days. If you want to get a better idea about your cycle, I highly recommend charting your BBT and reading the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. I felt so much more connected to my body after I read this book!

Good luck to you!
