When is your ideal month to conceive?

I know I would be happy conceiving at anytime but if I absolutely had to pick a time I'd like to conceive in summer so I could deliver in the spring...maybe April or May. That way I'd have my baby thru the fun summer months and I wouldn't have to be pregnant in the unbearable heat.

My ideal time right now would be October because July 1 is when my vacation time starts over and then I could use it towards maternity leave to get paid!!!

That would be my ideal time. Now that I have past that time and have to wait a few months, I'm think January is a good month too.

I'm not too picky, but I'd like to deliver anytime prior to June! It gets WAY too hot in Chicago to be in your 3rd trimester during the summer months!!

That's exactly how I feel and I have this feeling (because of when we started trying) that I'm going to be due in July or August and be big and pregnant during the hottest months. Go figure.

My ideal months would be August through November, that way the baby would be born May through August. Call me crazy for wanting a spring/summer baby, but my b-day is on Jan. 16 & I've always felt it was too close to the holidays-everything seems to run together.

DH & I have discussed this as well-he's a waterfowl hunter & hunting season is September through February. I was kind enough 6 years ago to coordinate my wedding around hunting season-I wanted to get married in October, but since that's in the middle of hunting season, there was a conflict. DH said (no joke here) that if we would get married in October we'd be honeymooning in Arkansas in a duck hunting shack! NO THANKS...so we got married in July instead and went on a cruise! Not only that, my nephew's b-day is Sept. 1-opening day of waterfowl season & DH & his brother are always hunting on his b-day. I know once we have a child of our own, DH would be there for it's b-day, but I would rather plan it to be out of hunting season.

If anyone else's DH is a hunter, they'll know exactly what I go through every fall! The insanity has already started at my house! We've all got baby fever, they have hunting fever!

Anyway, +++++++vibes to all & best wishes TTC!

My ideal time would be either August or September...because we are moving to Seattle in January (from Texas)...DH and I will be driving, and I read that the safest time to travel is during the second trimester...

GL to everyone!

Hi Ladies,

I conceived sometime in November and my daughter was due August 6th but she didn't come out until the 16th. It was a very Very hot summer and I had gained 51 lbs. I am going to try next month and baby should be here around June. Well if I am lucky.

I rather have a summer baby. Less chances for the baby getting sick, plus lots of things to do for Birthday parties. (hehehe)

I'd say: "now." If this cycle's a bust and you ask me again next month, I'll say: "now!" (I've been at TTC for so long, I just don't care anymore!!!) =)

I totally agree with Tami!!!!!! I have been TTC for so long (14 cycles) that any time would be fine by me.

Hi everyone,

I delivered baby#1 in March and #2 in November and I would like #3 to be a spring baby. If you ask me it's better to wait until cold season ends, May would be perfect!!!! I worked in a pediatrician's office for four years and cold season is bad enough, nevermind with a newborn!!
