FF is not giving me a coverline or an O date. It says I may have ovulated between CD 14 and 16. I have had no EWCM... does this mean that I am not ovulating (I only have a 28-29 day cycle). It is telling me to that I need to look for a rise to confirm O... What kind of rise am I looking for? Can someone please have a look at my chart and tell me what you think... TIA

Don't get worried yet, it's still early! It's really hard the first cycle charting, because you can't really see the whole picture until later in your cycle, at least a few days after O.

It doesn't look like you have O'd yet, and with the 28-29 day cycle, it's likely you will soon. Say you have a 29 day cycle, and don't O until day 16...that would still give you a 13 day luteal phase (the time after O until AF comes), which is fine. Also, cycle length will varying depending on when you O. The later in your cycle that you O, the longer the cycle may be. If you end up Oing on cd 17 or 18, then you may have a longer than normal cycle.

Generally, the rise will be .3 degrees higher than the last 6 days temps, bit not always. Some people may have a slow rise, where it goes up in smaller increments and more gradually. Also, once you get a spike, FF won't give you a coverline until it sees 3 consecutive days of higher level temps. They have some charts in the chart gallery to look at, that may be helpful to you to get an idea of what the "big picture" looks like after O.

I know your temps may look to you like they are up and down, but really, after O, you will see it better! Your temps are good and ormal, and once O has occured you will see the spike and understand it more. It does not matter if you don't see EW cm...it isn't needed to get PG, any wet cm is helpful and works just fine! You are doing a great job charting everything, keep BDing and I bet you will see a spike soon!

Good luck, don't get frustrated! It does get easier every cycle!

Hi Jackie! It looks like you may be approaching "o" right now....many times watery cm is a prelude to EWCM and even sometimes the most a woman gets is watery as their most fertile cm. Since your temps are ranging around 97.4-97.7 the rise you are looking for will probably be to around 98.2- 98.4. It is usually fairly noticeable and FF will wait for three high temps before giving you confirmation of "o". Keep up the bd-fest until "o" is confirmed so you're covered! GL and I hope this helps a bit ;o)

Thank you Kim for responding. I already have two children and both of them came as a really big suprise... especially our last one who was concieved while using BCP (I was not a perfect user). I just assumed that since I could get pregnant like that, I would have no problem this time around. I guess it just makes it harder when one of your close friends calls to tell you that she got a BFP this morning. I am so happy for her and I hope that I am in her shoes in 2 weeks!

Thanks again for the advice!

Jackie, if you've possibly just o'd and hoping for a sustained temperature rise, we could be in the 2WW together! I'm on day 18 and still no clear temp rise - my graph looks kinda jagged like yours.

I only had a tiny bit of EWCM and a bit of watery (days 11, 12 and 13) - in spite of taking robittussin and primrose oil and drinking grapefruit juice and green tea. However it was a bit more and better than last cycle, so perhaps if you don't get BFP this time you could try some of those.

Here's my email address if you wanna be 2WW buddies :) jm@ksm-uk.freeserve.co.uk
