Whoa.... need advice!!

I've posted on this board a few times over the past four months as my DH and I have been TTC.

I went off the pill in July and my cycles have been super long ever since. I finally caved and went to see my OB yesterday. She was optimistic due to the fact that I have a 4 yr old daughter, but she wanted to put me on an infertility regimen just in case. She talked about testing to see if my tubes were blocked, doing some blood work and then putting me on a Clomid cycle. I left the office feeling rather defeated as I didn't want to start everything so close to the holidays. She wanted to put me on Provera to bring on a period, but she wanted to ensure that I wasn't pregnant before doing so. I went in for blood work yesterday and I didn't hear back from the doctor today. I was disappointed, but I also knew that there was no way that I was pregnant- after all, I was on day 59 of my cycle with no period in sight.

My DH and I were sitting around after dinner tonight and discussing our frustration over the upcoming fertility tests. He asked me to use a FRER test I had on hand just in case. Sure enough, I got a BFP within seconds!

Well, that wasn't enough for us. He went out to CVS and got a double pack of tests. I've taken both of those as well and they show as a BFP! So, three tests. All BFP.

So here's my crazy question- I know it is a stupid one, and I apologize in advance. I just need to know if I can trust three positive preg tests. Is there anyway that I could get a false positive? I just need some reassurance....

Awww I'm so very happy for you! 3 pregnancy tests don't lie! Its really wonderful. And I would love to see the look on your OB's face when she finds out, lol...she'll be like "I should have given her a pregnancy test! OOPS"

Happy and Healthy nine months to you!

Thanks so much!! :)

We are still in shock. I keep checking and rechecking the tests to make sure the lines are still there!

When I took the tests, the preg line was super dark and the control line was a little faint.

I really don't think you can have that many false positives. Most of the time, even one positive is proof enough, so I say Congrats!! I think you're most definitely preggers!!!

Thanks again to everyone for the advice!

My Dr's office opens at 9am and I'm practically counting the minutes until I can call. DH is a pessimist and believes that the three positive pregnancy tests aren't confirmation enough. LOL.

SO, I'm calling the Dr to check. They took a blood test on Thursday just to make sure I'm not pregnant altogether, so my results should already be on file.

I'd been writing off my nausea for the past week and a half due to various reasons. Now that I received a BFP, it seems like the nausea is worse than ever. Do you think it's a mental thing?

Anyhow, you guys are great! I appreciate the sound advice and I wish everyone the best.
