So, DH and I started trying for number 2 this last month. I, of course, start taking pregnancy tests three days before AF and...nothing. Then...I'm late, so I keep testing every other day or so. Long story short,

I completely understand what you're going through. Our first month TTC was very similar. AF was late, I tested like a crazy woman and got one very, very faint line on an HPT. I was devastated when AF showed the very next day. I was certain that I had a chemical pregnancy or something, and I felt like I somehow
Hi Amanda,
I went through the same thing about 2 months ago... it was my first cycle on Clomid and right after my O date, I just started feeling that "pregnant feeling."

Amanda,
Let me first say that its okay to be upset. Every month I got AF my emotions would over come my rational mind because honestly I felt like a failure. My DH and I have been trying for over 2 years, I have had three m/c's, two being around the 9/10 week mark and the latest being at 5 1/2 weeks. One thing that has helped me to understand my cycles and track my ovulation is by charting my temps. Honestly it helps to know for a fact where you are in your cycle. I have only once (while on clomid) ovulated around day 14, and had I not been temping I would have thought my AF was late ALOT, because I O more around day 17-22, and sometimes even later. There are so many resources out there to help track your cycle and yes it maybe a slight inconvenience to take your temps at the same time every morning but in the long run it has helped me. Also when I started seeing the Reproductive Endocrinologist, the first thing he wanted to see was my temps, so if a professional uses my temps as a way to find clues about what is happening with my cycle I really do recommend that you might want to try it. I recommend Fertility Friend, its a great website and they have a basic plan that is free.
Oh and your DH will probably never really get why we are upset about the TTC adventure. It has taken my DH seeing me get a number of tests done, and now he is have to give me a shot everyday so he starts to see the complicated nature of this TTC journey. He does not tell me to relax and it will happen, since the RE said stress had nothing to do with us not getting pregnant, more that my body is all jacked up. LOL.
I really hope you catch the egg soon. I do recommend that you track your cycle, it will help in the long run. GL and KUP!!!
